The Return of “From Redmond with Love”
It has been a tradition ever since Firefox 2: Whenever we ship a major Firefox release, the Microsoft Internet Explorer team sends us a congratulatory cake.
This is a fine gesture. Hat tip to our fellow browser makers in Redmond. Remember: Competition is good for business.

Is that for you decide to reduce the time between two version for more cake?
Sorry for my english, I’m french.
Gaël: No worries, your English is great
And yes, we’ll be shipping Firefox faster in the future because we do not get enough cake otherwise. Seemed like the reasonable thing to do!

ITS A TRAP
Is it a real cake ? it looks styrofoam made…
Here the cake sent for FF3 release : files.cyberciti.biz/uploads/tips/2008/06/ms-ie-cake-to-mozilla-firefox.jpg Almost the same !
that looks like a Serial ATA cable in the cake, anyone care to comment on that ? lol
Hah, no that’s not a cable. That’s the kind of sugary material that cake bakers use to make such graphics on top of cakes.
I hope no-one thinks the Microsoft engineers baked this cake, stuffed it into an envelope and had it delivered 900 miles south by a circus bear on a unicycle. While I think that would be pretty awesome, I hate to disappoint by revealing that they just told a local bakery what to draw and where to deliver it when they’re done.
And what are You giving in return?
Aren’t you afraid if might be laced with arsenic?
