Her artistic mix of Manga, Barbie, Jeff Koons and Junko Mizuno, blurs the lines between innocence, sexuality and indulgence. It’s Pop Art with a hard-on, like the fairies at the bottom of your garden visiting a Bangkok Stripshow.

Fresh from exhibitions in Tokyo and LA, and a photoshoot with photographer David LaChapelle (who simply HAD to take her picture darling!), she is a bright prospect with all signs in her ascendancy.

If you live anywhere near Sydney you might not know it, but you have seen Bei Badgirl doin’ her thang. You can’t miss her: with a coif of teased blonde (or pink or lavender or whatever suits that week) hair that flows for miles, elaborate “where the hell did she find that?” cute ‘n’ tight outfits straight out of Japanese cartoons and a look that screams bubblegum punk chick of the technicolour future, Bei is a walking work of pop art. As it happens, she’s also vastly talented at getting her art – a combination of candy-sweet sexy Anime, vintage pin-ups and something entirely her own – on canvas. Bei chats to us after just arriving back from her latest exhibition in Japan.
