WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5/5: (Excellent) The best word to describe our week at Sirena Del Mar is WOW! We were fortunate enough to leave the cold of the east coast and spend a fabulous week in Cabo at this wonderful resort the first week of February. From the moment we arrived till the day we left we felt we were amongst family. The service was outstanding. Our large 1 bedroom suite was gorgeous and the view from the resort as well as our room was spectacular. This was our first trip to Cabo and we rented a car. The resort's location gave us easy access to both Cabo San Lucas as well as Cabo San Jose which I highly recommend visiting. What really makes the resort special is the staff. Edgar, Adan, Cesar, Manny and the rest of the staff were all superb. Special thanks to the resort's general manager Alejandro who took very good care of us during our stay as well as arranging a private sunset dinner cliff side prepared by Javier on our last night there. We can not wait to go back!
THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST SPECTACULARLY BEAUTIFUL RESORT SETTING WE'VE EVER ENJOYED Rated 5/5: (Excellent) Sirena Del Mar is, first and foremost, a gorgeous site for a beach resort. Built on cliffs overlooking the Sea of Cortez, the rooms all have panoramic views of the ocean, the rock formations at the tip of the Baja (el arco), and breaching and spouting whales (in season). The pools and decks are well designed and convenient to the rooms and to the other ameneties. The staff was very friendly and eager to please. Manny the activities director was especially helpful and enthusiastic in his work. The waiters and cleaning staff were smiling and willing to please. Cesar took good care of us and made us feel at home. The first time I went to Mexico I was a little unsettled and uneasy about vacationing outside the U.S. Each time we have returned (now 4 times in all) the comfort level increased. Sirena Del Mar and the staff there made us feel comfortable and entirely at ease. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL! Rated 5/5: (Excellent) We not only loved the beautiful resort but the people were amazing! Everyone gave great and friendly service, always going the extra mile. Javier, the chef, is fantastic and if you get a chance to learn watermelon carving from him be sure to take adavantage of it! Manny, the activities director, is so fun and friendly that he will make you smile. The rooms are top-notch in every way and the view is spectacular from every room. We loved our stay and could not have been more pleased.
SIRENA DEL MAR - OUTSTANDING FACILITY Rated 5/5: (Excellent)We stayed at Sirena Del Mar resort for a week and enjoyed every minute of our vacation. Our view was overlooking the Sea of Cortez, whales throughout the day and could also see the Arc.. The facility was very clean, beautiful atmosphere and the staff Carlos, Jesus, Romiro, Manny, Claudia and Cesar worked hard to make our stay enjoyable. They have daily activities for everyone. This is definitely a resort we will go back to and highly recommend it.
MANNY ROCKS!! Rated 5/5: (Excellent)Wow, what a vacation! Immediately after we arrived, we were greeted by Manny, the Activities Director, who promptly engaged our 3 young kids in a game of ping pong. From then on, the activities never stopped! Swimming, snorkeling, Trivia, Bingo, Water Arobics, cooking lessons, foosball, pool, Wii, air hockey... we did everything Manny had to offer, and he didn't stop for a minute! He also had recommendations for great restaurants at the Marina that would appeal to the kids. He was definitely our "Go To" guy. We also kept Ramero, Jesus, and Carlos busy at the swim up pool bar making fruit smoothies for the kids and popping the tops on Pacificos for us. The lunch fare was wonderful. The downtown area and marina is close by and offers many restaurant choices. We were glad we rented a car so that we could go out for dinner and travel around to visit Todos Santos and Cerritos Beach. In the resort, we stayed in the 2 bedroom penthouse, which was spectacular. This was really a fantastic location and a spectacular vacation! Thank you to the Sirena del Mar staff!! We WILL meet again!
VERY QUIET AND PRIVATE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU OWN THE RESORT Rated 4/5: (Very Good) The workout room, whirlpool, swimming pool, kids game room, rooms and the view all fantastic. The staff are there for YOU. I can't say enough good things about the Activities Director, personality plus! Plays and gets kids and adults motivated with H2O aerobics, ping pong and outside pool, snorkeling and so many other activities offered. They offer cooking and fruit carving classes. Wallmart is close by for needed food and personal items. Costco and Sam's is also close.
PERFECT FOR PEACE AND QUIET Rated 5/5: (Excellent)Thoroughly enjoyed an altogether too short 3 night stay. Rooms are simply amazing and it's obvious the designers spent a great deal of time focusing on just about everything a guest could ask for in a vacation resort. Liked it so much we shot and edited a video tour of the grounds from sunrise to night.
AMAZING, QUITE PLACE TO STAY WITH YOUR COUPLE OR FAMILY Rated 5/5: (Excellent)This hotel is the best! the customer service is excellent. It has an excellent panoramic view. Everything is new since it just opened few months ago. All the rooms have ocean view. The pools have ocean view. It has a wonderful jacuzi, gym, game room, bar... Will definitely recommended!!
FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND Rated 5/5: (Excellent)We own in the Hyatt Vacation Club and have been at The Welk Cabo for a week. Unbelievable place, location and staff. You will love Carlos, Jesus, Romiro, Manny, Claudia and Cesar. They have realy worked extremely hard to make our trip great. There are a couple of other employees that assisted with the bartering process as well which has really been helpful. Highly recommend the this place with family and/or friends.
SECOND TIME VISIT IN LESS THAN THREE MONTHS! BEST OVERALL VALUE. Rated 5/5: (Excellent)Our first opportunity to stay at this wonderful property was opening week, December 21-27, 2009--Frankly, it was so remarkable, we found a way to leave the cold and our snow covered homeland in Minneapolis & visit Cabo a SECOND TME on my birthday week, March 1 through 8, 2010. The hotel, the gorgeous property, and the entire staff made my wife and I feel like family.The first phase of about 38 nicely designed rooms and suites is completed. Views from every room can't be beat anywhere in the Cabo San Lucas or the San Jose del Cabo area of Mexico. Whale watching, sensational sunsets, great food, multiple pools, just about anything you could dream up is available on site. Sirena Del Mar is amazing. Reasonable prices. Don't miss it.
PERFECT! Rated 5/5: (Excellent)My 11 y/o daughter and I stayed at this incredible hotel and had a perfect vacation. The view was incredible and the sounds of the waves on the rocks was exactly what we were hoping for. The room/resort was very clean and spacious. We cooked many of our own meals to save on money (Costco is near by). We saw whales from the balcony daily. I would suggest bringing binoculers. Santa Maria beach, about one mile away, had great snorkeling. We swam with the dophins at the marina in Cabo, which was pricey but glad we did it. The hotel staff were exceptional. We will be back!
BEAUTIFUL RESORT, AMAZING VIEWS OF THE SEA OF CORTEZ Rated 5/5: (Excellent)This is a beautiful resort. The rooms are really nice and well thought out. The pool and hot tubs are amazing, They are very well designed, have great views, and are really pretty. The service is amazing, the staff is there to help in any way. The view of the ocean from most of the resort was amazing, we even saw whales right from our balcony. The beach is close and is nice for swimming. The food is delicious and there is also a great pool bar! The activities director was alot of fun.
PEACE OF MIND, RELAXING RESORT Rated 5/5: (Excellent) This is one of the most beautiful hotels in which we ever stayed. The whole place is very charming. The rooms are comfortable, clean and decorated with lots of love. You can have as many towels as you like and any extra wish is fulfilled immediately. From each room you have a fantastic view of the ocean and you hear it too! The stuff is very helpful and friendly. Especially the front desk and the general Manager made us feel so welcome. Our 3 year old son had a lot of fun in the shallow water around the pool's. Everything was very nice and there is nothing negative to say. We will go there again - definitely.
AMAZING, BREATHTAKING, FANTASTIC! Rated 5/5: (Excellent)This hotel is brand new and gorgeous. The staff was fantastic and it felt like we were staying with family. The property is perched on a cliff with amazing ocean & Land's End views. All rooms are ocean view and perfectly appointed with a full kitchen, granite counters, and a washer/dryer for those who need to get some laundry done before heading home. The balcony was beautiful and we slept with the double sliding door wide open every night, falling asleep to the sound of the ocean below. Both infinity pools are fabulous with a swim up bar that has 2 large flat screen TV's so you're never far from CNN. The jacuzzi is big and wonderful with cascading water down the tiled walls. There's plenty of lounge chairs (more than there are guests) so there's a spot for everyone by the pool or overlooking the ocean. The beach/cove is a 3 minute walk down a gravel path with a spiral staircase and it's super private and looks like Hawaii. I recommend you bring your snorkel gear because the beach is perfect for an afternoon adventure. The staff (Manny, Carlos, Cesar) were wonderful and attentive, ready to help with anything you need. The bar & restaurant are great but are only open until 5pm (happy hour is 2-5pm and offers two for one drinks - a great deal). Cabo is a short 10 min taxi ride ($15) each way. I am definitely coming back, maybe Memorial Day weekend. I'm dreaming of it already.
MORE THAN IMAGINABLE! Rated 5/5: (Excellent)We found this place by a stroke of luck when we had not planned for the last two nights of our cabo stay. How I wish we had spent our whole vacation here! I was at the same time peaceful and secluded; and exciting and inviting. Sculptured towels of swans and mermaids greeted us everywhere. The pool and hot tub had sheets of azure water cascading down walls with a view of a magnificent ocean. We could see whales spouting from the balcony. The staff was sooo friendly, and Manny the activities director joined us for ping pong. We had teenagers who played with the Wii and Billiards, and later we took a walk on the private beach. The room/suite was lovely, spanking clean and conveniently appointed. What more could we say. Close to heaven!
BEAUTIFUL, RELAXING, ELEGANT RESORT Rated 5/5: (Excellent) The Sirena Del Mar is a brand new resort on the Sea of Cortez. The villas are absolutely gorgeous...We had a one bedroom on the fourth floor with the ocean crashing below us and a view of El Arco that was amazing. All villas are ocean front at the moment. The bathroom, kitchen, living room and dining area are elegantly furnished. From our balcony, we whale watched daily..They seemed to perform morning, noon and night and it was spectacular to be able to see all of this from our villa. The swimming pools, hot tub pool, terraces etc. were great. There is a small beach a few yards down some steps which is good for swimming and snorkeling. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There is a well equipped gym, ping pong and pool table for those who want these activities. Also, there is a patio restaurant for breakfast and lunch and a full service bar by the pool open until 5PM. We rented a car so we could drive into Cabo and San Jose Cabo and also to some snorkeling beaches. We did not want to leave as this was the most relaxing, quiet and beautiful resort we have stayed in for a long while. Can hardly wait to go back.
MY BEST ISLAND VACATION EVER!! WELK RESORT SIRENA DEL MAR - CABO Rated 5/5: (Excellent) GREAT RESORT!! What a diamond in the rough. Truly enjoyed my 7days at the Welk Resort. I like the fact that this resort is off the beaten path..away from the Hustle and bustle of Downtown, but only a 20min ride away. THis place is spectacular. I had the 1BR Suite and I was truly blown away with over 900sq ft, two flat screen TVs, Breakfast Bar,DVD Player, Bose Sound Wave Radio, LR, DR, Balcony with Hammock, Full Kitchen and Jacuzzi Tub!!!!! With a Spectacular Ocean View. As an added touch, House Keeping sprinkled flower petals throughout the room. Great at the lobby entrance by Cesar with a cool, wet towel and a chilled bottle of water. The Breakfast/Lunch at the onsite restaurant was EXcellent. Recieved outstanding service from Ceasar (Restaurant Manager), Carlos and Ramiro. The Front Desk Staff ( Mario, Adan, Paola & Cesar) was very friendly, attentative and helpful and so was Manny (Activities Guru) Special Accolades and Kudo Go Out to EDGAR....u are the Man. Edgar was very helpful with anything I needed...scheduling tours, restaurant recommendations, sites to visit, etc. Very Friendly and always with a SMILE!! Excellent GYM facilities!!!!!!
FABULOUS STAY AT SIRENA DEL MAR Rated 5/5: (Excellent)Fabulous stay at this exclusive resort- everything is top notch and the staff is attentive to guests. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen perfect. The oceanfront views from the room and pool...the fitness rooms, lobby overlooking the cliffs with computers. The meals at the restaurant are great and the chef came to greet us himself. The poolside bar was well stocked. The activities were fun and geared to all ages. Private beach in comparison to the crowded beaches we saw at other resorts. Ready to return to Sirena Del Mar again on our next trip.
BEST TRIP TO MEXICO, EVER! Rated 5/5: (Excellent)We stayed at this new resort in early January, 2010. We have been to Mexico many times, but never had a more enjoyable stay or experience! The Welk Resort is a new resort that just opened. Some contruction gong on, but never came into play during our stay. The service was spectacular and the accomodations, fantastic! The views from the patio went on forever! We saw whales and other fish, daily! No need for an expensive whale watching tour when you can see them all day from your patio! The resort is only partially built but the amenities are complete! No waitng for pool chairs! Swim up bar and all the perks of a big resort without the hassles! Great beach access with no vendor! We will be back as often as we can make the trip! I never thought of buying a timeshare before, but after this experience I may consider it!
