Powerful and fast automobiles are designed to thrill car aficionados. What makes us salivate even more is if the car in question is a limited edition. We’re talking about Savage Rivale’s latest race car, the 2012 GTR. Built for speed, the GTR has been constructed on the Roadyacht GTS’s platform in full livery. The racing variant is more powerful, however, boasting a solid V8 in different trims. Savage Rivale’s newest baby is guaranteed to make those with deep pockets and a love for speed, drool.
Concept cars have been dominating the internet for years now. While some leave us wondering what the designers were thinking, others are so nicely conceived that we wish automakers would take these designs and use them in production cars. One such designer goes by the name of Colin Bonathan, a student of Lawrence Tech. Noted for coming up with the idea for an electric 2025 Lincoln Continental, Bonathan sure has made a name for himself on the internet. His Lincoln concept was exhibited as a quarter-scale model in the 2012 Detroit Motor Show.
Green cars presently seem to be the in-thing what with various designers introducing their vehicular creations made from recycled materials. Keeping in mind the importance of environmental preservation, many designers are beginning to make the best use of whatever resources they get their hands on to design and build some of the most unique-looking cars. Apart from recycled materials, natural resources are also being used to build vehicles and one example of such a case is a car designed by Clayton Tugonon and made out of locally found natural and recycled materials.

Japanese automaker, Mazda, has revealed the pricing and specs of its all-new CX-5 line-up after much waiting. New automobile releases are always so much fun to anticipate. The question of what will be on offer, the style, performance and what sets it apart from the rest. Here, we focus on Audi’s latest roll out: the RS4 Avant, a car that packs the performance of a supercar with the load-carrying capability of a wagon. The drawback? It’s a European-only model.
Ever since the Wright Brothers took flight in their prototype aircraft in December of 1903, man has dreamed of a day when they would be able to fly in their own personal vehicles. All of our science fiction since that epoch-making first flight has envisioned a future where people would own cars that would fly them to places instead of navigating through roadways. Though there have been several attempts at making cars that would enable personal flight as accessible as driving cars, none of them have quite delivered on the promise of their premise. But now, California-based Moller International has come up with a affordable, feasible and safe personal takeoff and landing (VTOL) vehicle called the Skycar which is perhaps the best and most practical flying car model we have seen so far.
This looks like something that Tim “The Toolman” Taylor from 80’s Tim Allen’s sitcom Tool Time would have created after giving his signature neanderthalic shout out of “more power”! My personal obsession with old American sitcoms apart, this freaky Mazda MX-5 Miata is really a power-mad modder’s wildest fantasy come true. This wild take on the regular Mazda MX-5 Miata features a super-sized wheelbase that was stretched to make room for two, that’s right, two V8 engines!
Ok so the title of this article is just a tad misleading and what we really want to tell you is how many seconds the fastest cars in the world would take to go around the world (barring any stops that they may need to make for refueling or tire/oil change). This mother of all freaky laps is calculated on the basis of the circumference of the earth at the equator which comes out to 24,901.55 miles. This compilation may be, for now at least, just a fun way for us to kill time instead of getting some real work in the office but in the not so distant future the phrase “a trip around the world” could actually be used a lot more literally and when that happens, we want to be able to say that we were the ones who thought of the concept first!
Burton, Michigan-based auto enthusiast Dan Webb is a car guy with a difference. Though he likes to hang out at auto shows and car events like most car guys do, the owner of Webb Automotive Art is a well known figure in Detroit’s auto circle. A winner of the Autorama Ridler Award at the 1990 Detroit Autorama for his 1932 Ford Altered street roadster, Webb is all set to make a grand comeback into public spotlight with his latest project, a custom re-creation of the SoCal Streamliner that set a land speed record almost 60 years ago. The project is ready to be featured on the cover of an upcoming edition of Hot Rod magazine as well as this year’s edition of the Detroit Autorama.

Bicycle fashioned from rattan supports use of natural fiber in transportation
Cane, bamboo and rattan have been a favorite among furniture designers who like to create pieces with natural fiber rather than wood itself. Designer Jarbas Lopes too is a big fan of rattan though he employed the natural fiber in creation of a rather unus
I-Care racing: A fully electric sports roadster concept
Vehicles able to run on green energy are slowly becoming popular as the future of conventional automobiles is coming to, somewhat, an end. Fossil fuels are no longer in strong supply and there’s nothing we can do to speed up the creation process. This h
