Just Be
October 13, 2010“These days, my practice is teaching me
to embrace imperfection:
to have compassion for all the ways
things haven’t turned out as I planned,
in my body and in my life –
for the ways things keep falling apart,
and failing, and breaking down.
It’s less about fixing things,
and more about learning
to be present
for exactly what is.”
Anne Cushman

October 11, 2010“Love is our energy.
Wisdom our power.
It’s time to shed light to
all corners of the world.
Enjoy the trip we make together.”

There’s Only One
October 10, 2010Happy Sunday! Here’s a lovely quote borrowed from Twitter friend @moonbeamwishes, who has a blog by the same name. Check her out! Simple, yet wise words . . .

everyone else is already taken.”

Truth & Integrity
October 8, 2010Truth & Integrity . . .
This is the card I pulled today from my Healing with the Angels Oracle Cards. They are beautiful, simple and help me to focus my mind.

“You are guided to be very honest with yourself, and to be true to yourself in all of your activities and actions.”
“Let go of anything inauthentic, and all activities that do not mirror your highest intentions for yourself.”
Shouldn’t we all live in such a manner?

Soothing & Beautiful Sounds
October 7, 2010Have you heard of Buckethead? He is an amazing guitarist who wears a mask and KFC bucket on his head. Random, right? My husband first introduced me to this music. We went to see him about four years ago at a “blackbox venue” and it was amazing. The whole concert took place on stage. We stood on what would be a normal stage at a normal concert and watched him on a separate smaller raised stage. I’ve never been to anything like it.
A lot of his music is strange, and surprisingly I like it. I have varied taste in music. This album, however, is much more mesmerizing than strange. I play some of the songs in my yoga classes. Check it out. BTW, you can minimize this page and visit other sites while listening to it. The video doesn’t do anything else. It’s the music that’s mesmerizing.
