Gateway to America Official Tours
Gateway to America Tours tell the story of the rich history and natural splendor of New York City and Harbor, through the prism of its 22 national park sites. These water, walking and online tours, created by the Harbor Conservancy in partnership with the National Park Service, feature the five essential themes of the parks: birth of New York City and America, commerce, harbor defense, harbor ecology and immigration.
A cast of noted personalities and experts provide audio commentary and narration on select tours. They include actress Kathleen Turner, New York Times urban affairs correspondent Sam Roberts, historian Mike Wallace and author Russell Shorto, to name a few.
