Casinos becoming tougher business in Second Life?

Casinos in the real world can struggle financially, and they can virtually too. But is this a case of owner change of heart or finances? Readers can decide.
The newest Quki Casino located in da Vinci by Quidel Cel and Pookypoo Kamloops had signs today displaying the message:
Cel and Kamloops are established casino operators in Second Life. Assuming this isn't a bogus message (the signs were littered all over the casino today), could this be a sign that running a casino in SL is getting increasingly less profitable? Or is this really as the sign says and the owners feel badly about "plaguing" the land?

This casino will be shutting down February 28, 2006. I no longer believe nice land like this should be plagued with my casino, and it's selfish for me to do so. However, my main casino at Enyo will remain open. Please accept my deepest apologies. This casino will have been open barely a month and according to the stats board has paid out more than $100,000L in camping chair money and over $42,000L in game machines (slots).
