Okay, deep breath, here we go!
I will try to keep up with the weekly schedule, but these new pages are taking a very long time to create and it is very likely I will fall behind.
I will post WIPs or sketches or filler art if that happens.
Maybe a breakdown of my process - I've been meaning to do that one of these days.
This page is one of those rare artistic moments where I am completely happy with how it turned out. I am very, very proud of it. :) I've revealed more plot secrets than I wanted to, of course, but as they are all out of context, I don't think they will spoil anything until after the fact.

oh wow!! i LOVE it!!! those skulls are mondo creepy!!
*stunned* wow, soooo gorgeous!
I love your style, and was expecting something close to this, but nothing so completely outstanding!!!
jeez.
all the little details-how long does something like this take you? (even if you don't answer, i like asking questions!)
Thank you all!
I didn't count the hours (i was multitasking between this and page 1), so I am guessing 50-60 hours. Page 1 took a lot longer. :/ Almost killed my poor computer: photoshop was not happy!
Beautiful work. I am sure you don't have time for this but I'd love to see a series of pages showing your process for doing your pages. Is this all traditional, or digital?
nvm took the time to read the "photoshop" caption! sorry. lol
Yeah, I've been meaning to post a "process" page one of these days - I am saving it for a week where I'm behind and haven't finished a new page. :P
I love the Queen's design :D
Thank you!
Wow, your work is beautiful. Seeing the child with the ball of yarn in his hand, along with the tital, makes me thing of the Minatours labyrinth-as does the way yarn loops on the ground. Regardless, really amazing work.
Your art is fantastic & has it's own unique nature. Brilliant cover.
Just discovered your graphics Emily, and I have to say you are AMAZING!
My wife just loves the splash page for III.
Beautiful art, very good writing... I'm surprised you're not an A-list name by now!
Haha. Certainly not that. So many amazing artists in the field right now-! I do love that particular page, though. Dunno how I am ever going to top it!
