Alexis Clyburn & Briana Nieradka are EWFC Fencers of the Year
HOBOKEN, N.J. – Senior Alexis Clyburn (Hillside, N.J./Foil) and sophomore Briana Nieradka (West Windsor, N.J./Epee) of Stevens Institute of Technology both won the Eastern Women’s Fencing Conference Fencer of the Year Awards for their respective weapons as the Ducks hosted the EWFC Individual Championships inside Canavan Arena. Stevens came within one touch of sweeping the top prize in all three weapons. Prior to Sunday, the Ducks had produced just one EWFC Fencer of the Year in the 12-year history of the conference: Andrea Chimel in 2005.

Men's Tennis Utterly Dominates Drew Invitational to Kick Off 2012
MADISON, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s tennis team began its traditional spring season in commanding fashion, going 21-0 in singles competition at the two-day Drew University Invitational. At doubles the Ducks were nearly as good, dropping just three matches and only at third and fourth doubles. Players from Hunter College, Wilkes University and host Drew University also competed at the season-opening event.

Women's Basketball Earns Five-Straight W's to Close Regular Season
ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s basketball team (13-12, 9-5) earned themselves a rematch with Hartwick College in the opening round of the 2012 Empire 8 Tournament with a 60-54 victory over the Hawks (21-4, 12-2) in both teams’ final game of the regular season. Jillian Barrett (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Avis Benjamin (Queens, N.Y.) led the Ducks with 21 and 19 points, respectively. Stevens snapped Hartwick's 12-game winning streak with the victory.

No. 8 Men's Volleyball Scores Wins over No. 4 Juniata and NJCU
HOBOKEN, N.J. – In a non-conference tri-match at Canavan Arena on Saturday afternoon, February 18, the nationally ranked No. 8 Stevens Institute of Technology men’s volleyball team tallied two victories over No. 4 Juniata College, 3-2, and New Jersey City University, 3-0. With the two wins, Stevens is now 8-1 on the season and 7-0 at home.

Fourth Place Showing Starts the Spring for Equestrian
LAGRANGEVILLE, N.Y. – The Stevens Institute of Technology equestrian team began the 2012 portion of its schedule with a fourth-place finish at the Marist College Show at the Crosswinds Equestrian Center on Saturday. Freshman Jessica Spanier (Chester, N.J.) posted a pair of second-place rides at the intermediate level to lead the Ducks.
