Kikapu netlabel is back

Some of you know about Kikapu, and some of you surely do not. Kikapu is a netlabel I started way back in college and ran successfully for about seven years. I called it quits four years ago because I didn’t have the time to devote to it and I was a bit burned out. Now that some time has passed, I decided last year to resurrect the label and starting releasing again. This time, while we’re still focusing on music, I’m trying to incorporate other digital works such as video, photography, and generally more multimedia.

It took six months, but our first release is finally online. The artist is Roto Visage, who released a few albums on Kikapu back in the day. This new release is his score to the 1928 surrealist film “La coquille et le clergyman.” We got permission to release a “director’s cut” online with a Creative Commons license.
