GGN hits the pause button
It is with a very heavy heart that I will announce GGN is hitting the pause button.
Although we’ve had an amazing year here so far – cons, new staff, geek parties, prizes, and podcasts – life kind of got in the way and is preventing me from running and growing the site the way it needs to, and they way you, our faithful readers and listeners deserve. We have tons of amazing plans for the site and loads of benefits for you, but at the moment I need to put a few things on hold. The site will remain up because there’s still tons of awesome content to check out. The Facebook and Twitter sites will stay active as well- because you KNOW I can’t go without intarwebz social activity for too long!
So don’t fret, GGN will be back in a huge way later this year! In the meantime, leave your comments below on what you love about GGN, what you would like to see from our little site in the future, and huggles just because.
Additional, I will be available for guest blogging or podcasting here and there so feel free to contact me kristin@geekgirlsnetwork.com
Thank you everyone for all your amazing support and I can’t wait to share all the geekery in 2012!!
Less Than Three’s,
Kristin

Gingerbread Gone Geek
crossposted at geek with curves
The holiday season always looks best when painted with a geek brush. I bet many of you will agree. Though I drool over pictures of elaborate gingerbread constructions I’ve never made anything more complicated than cutout cookies. One year I’ll create a gingerbread diorama of the Rebel Base on Hoth. Until then, I’ll keep drooling over the creations people much more talented and patient than I make.
SS Ginger Amelia
Gingerbread pirate ship that has a very Amy Pond sort of name! Three thousand eggs were used to build this. That’s a lot of hens.

Tarzan, the Butcher
A quick article on an actual comic book I found today at my local comic shop. If you think this cover of Tarzan‘s going to be good, just click below to see how weird (and wrong) it is.
