More detailed information

NSAA is making changes to our website and, more importantly, to your member listing. Starting Dec 9, 2011, technology from eSpeakers will power the member listings on our website. Not only will this provide more functionality to the NSAA website, but also provide you with more member benefits.

Important: To ensure that anyone searching for a speaker on the NSAA website will find accredited, experienced professionals, beginning Dec 9, 2011 only Professional Members and CSPs will be listed on the NSAA speaker directory. Associates and Members will be listed on a static (non searchable) separate page.

Each NSAA Professional Member and CSP will be provided with a complimentary eSpeakers account—eSpeakers Starter. Your eSpeakers account is set up and ready for you to start entering your marketing information. Please take some time to follow the instructions below.

If you already have an account with eSpeakers, this account will be used on the NSAA website. Please be sure to check your account for accuracy and make any appropriate updates.

As an NSAA Speaking Member, your listing will be shown on the NSAA member directory and on the GSF (Global Speakers Federation) directory of speakers. You may also decide to make your eSpeakers profile available to the worldwide speakers bureau channel for additional business. This listing is also powered by eSpeakers and is provided by NSAA at no cost to you (regular cost for this service is $179 USD/year).

The GSF website has international meeting planner traffic, so remember to keep your bio as international-friendly as possible. Once you've completed your profile, you may choose to use eSpeakers BureauBlast service to send this information to bureaus worldwide. This will also let speaker bureaus know you're now available on eSpeakers.

Please contact eSpeakers with any questions you may have about how to get the most from your new service (support@espeakers.com).

The information you need to log in and start using your account is in this email. You're just minutes away from discovering for yourself the benefits of our new member directory powered by eSpeakers.

Best Regards,

Tony Ryan CSP

NSAA President

GSF "Where In The World" benefit

The Global Speakers Federation added eSpeakers service to their website so meeting planners can research presenters. This "Where In The World" page uses Google maps to show where federation speakers appear over time. It's a go-to tool for meeting planners who want to know when a speaker will be in their area so they can preview them or double-book them and save on travel expenses. It can also be used to find where your speaking friends will be presenting and when you may cross paths in a city. Points on the map show the date and city of your appearances and link to your full profile for additional exposure.

Your eSpeakers account not only gives you the ability to add your basic profile information, but provides an upgrade path for additional profile features like streaming video, social media and other advanced features. Your profile also includes 25% of the features from eSpeakers popular calendaring solution. You can now post your speaking schedule and use the other event management functionality that's made this tool the best-of-breed in the speaking industry. Both of the new exposure opportunities above use the information you post on your calendar to help potential clients find you.

If you already use eSpeakers to manage your calendar, data is fed to the system automatically—no need to enter it again inside your profile.

To be included on the map, you only need to do 3 things:

  1. Download the included eSpeakers App for Windows or Mac:
    espeakers.com/download.
  2. Once installed, log in and start entering events on your eSpeakers calendar.
  3. Make sure to keep your eSpeakers calendar up-to-date. Speakers without future dates on the calendar will not be included—make sure you don't get left out.

(If, for some reason, you don't want to be included in this service to meeting planners, simply log in to eSpeakers, bring up your PROFILE tab, and uncheck the preference labeled "When my profile is displayed on a bureau or agency site, it is OK to display my availability calendar.")
