Keauhou Bay Office
As the birthplace of King Kamehameha III, Keauhou has been called one of the most historically and culturally significant sites in the entire state of Hawai’i. Numerous petroglyphs, heiau and other sites are found exclusively in Keauhou.
Directions to Fair Wind if Traveling From the North:

Plan for 75 – 90 minutes of travel time if departing from one of these Hotels / Resorts

Plan for 60 – 75 minutes of travel time if departing one of these Hotels / Resorts:
- Hualalai Resort / Four Seasons / Kukio
- Kona Village Resort
Directions:
- Highway 19 head south – going back towards the airport.
- After you pass the airport, continue another 15 minutes and you will come to the intersection of Palani Road. (Highway 19 will now become Highway 11.)
- Proceed on Highway 11 approximately 4-1/2 miles, until you come to Kamehameha III Road. At Kamehameha III Road Road – make a right. (Look for signs along the way for “Keauhou Bay,” as Keauhou Bay is your final destination).
- Go down Kamehameha III Road through 2 stoplights to the bottom of the road.
- The parking lot is on the left side of the road, just before Kamehameha III ends.
- Once you park in the lot, walk across the sand volleyball court to the Fair Wind office. (Look for the blue and white sign).
Directions to Fair Wind if Traveling From the South
- Take Highway 11 North, towards the town of Kailua-Kona and the airport. We are approximately 10 minutes south of the town of Kailua-Kona.
- After you pass through the town of Kainaliu, continue on Highway 11, down a long hill. Look for a green highway sign that reads, “Keauhou Bay”, which is your final destination. At Mile Marker 117, the next stoplight will be “Kamehameha III Road”.
- Turn left at Kamehameha III Road and follow down the mountain through 2 stoplights to the bottom of the road.
- The parking lot is on the left side of the road, just before Kamehameha III ends.
- Once you park in the lot, walk across the sand volleyball court to the Fair Wind office. (Look for the blue and white sign).
