Hi-Media Belgium now has a reach of 76.6% with 5.1 million unique users (CIM Metriprofil – Q3 2011) and over 450 million page views a month.

Hi-Media Payments, the payment activity of online media group Hi-Media, announces the signature of a new agreement with Lequipe.fr.
Lequipe.fr, the leading sport news website and the number one news website in France, represents over 5 million unique visitors a month among which one million per day, for a total visit number of 73.7 million and over one billion page impressions per month.
L’Equipe.fr chose Hi-Media Payments as its partner and payment solution provider. Hi-Media’s Allopass and Hipay were selected to handle:
- one-off payments for the daily digital edition
- subscription to the daily digital edition for 1 month, 3 months or 1 year
- purchase of products from the online store
- monetization of the Sportquiz.fr quiz (www.sportquiz.fr)

The British Are the Biggest Mobile Shoppers in Europe

According to a new study commissioned by Kelkoo and conducted by the Centre for Retail Research, European online shoppers are expected to increase their spending by 510% between 2010 and 2012. The report reveals that mobile shopping across Europe will increase from just €2.4bn in 2010 to €14.6bn by the end of 2012.
British will be the biggest mobile spenders in Europe followed by Germany ($4.2 billion) and France ($3 billion).
The study also found that shopping using mobile devices will become an increasingly important part of retail sales, set to represent 6.1% of all online retail spending in Europe in 2012. The UK is also expected to have the highest European proportion of all online spending using a mobile at 7.9%.

European E-Commerce Continues to Rise in 2011: +18%

• An increase of 18% in 2011 and projected growth of 16% in 2012
According to the data published by the Center for Retail Research, e-commerce in Europe grew 18% in 2011 to reach 200.5 billion euros. This strong growth recorded in the last several years is set to continue. This proves that the digital has become part of the shopping process since they are 59% of Europeans who have made a purchase on the Internet in 2011*.
The European e-commerce sales growth should be similar in 2012 and is expected to increase by 16%.
• A bigger market than the U.S
The European e-commerce growth rate was far higher than in the United States. Indeed, if one compares the amount of online retail sales published by Barclays Capital in the U.S, Europe has exceeded the U.S in e-commerce spending in 2011.
