The Lazy Mama

As a work at home Mama, I try to manage my time well. I’m not always successful but it’s always wonderful to find tools that could make working at home easier. It is not always easy as I tend to have routines that eat up time. An obsessive compulsive, I believe, that I couldn’t seem to shake off.

I have a step-by-step habit that needs to be done when I’m online. It differs when I am surfing, blogging, working on each client, etc. A group of sites need to be opened along with each task. It was a brilliant move when tabs where introduced into browsing some years ago. Apparently, a lot of users do open a number of sites at one time.

This is where the Sessions feature of the Opera browser comes very handy. I can switch from task to task without having to open each site. I know that you can always Bookmark a website to keep it but Sessions can keep a group of websites in memory. For example, when I’m working on a client, I need my email, Google docs, a number of sites for the client opened at the same time. The sites differ when I’m working for another client, doing research, surfing, shopping, blogging, link building, etc. The Sessions feature can save a number links for the websites you need for a task. You can open all of these links in a separate window with each link in a tab – in one single step. How easy is that?

There are a few other issues that I do not like about using the Opera browser but I could live with it for the time being because Sessions is making it so much easier for me. I just hope it doesn’t take them too long to fix these issues.

Some cities are already implementing the No Plastic Bag rules which is great because plastic bag usage will surely be reduced but I doubt that it can ever be completely eliminated from our lives. Honestly, I don’t like them so I try as much as I can to minimize having them. If I could only fit everything that I bought in my bag just to avoid acquiring them, I would. But that is not always the case.

Jack Jack is almost done with potty trainingnow. Our only problem these days are his night wettings. The rest of the time, he can go to the bathroom by himself. So before I forget (I have a pretty short term memory, btw) what I do when cleaning him up, I’m putting it out here.

It’s not the most pleasant thing to talk about but I’m pretty sure any one who’s had babies has their own routine for potty clean up. Nobody likes it and I hate it the most when it happens outdoors especially when it is disrupting shopping.

By nature, Jack Jack always had the curiosity enthusiasm to help. He wants to have a hand at everything.
