Launched in 2011, the Prairie State College Sustainability Center serves as a resource for students, faculty, staff, and community members interested in green jobs training and sustainability. The center is offered in partnership with the Illinois Green Economy Network (IGEN), an initiative which unites the state's 48 community colleges in a joint effort to stimulate the Illinois green economy through a strategic provision of green workforce training, market transformation and community outreach.
