More on the set of Adult World + Instagram photosCheck out one photo plus video of Emma on set of Adult World yesterday(February 19th). Emma added more instagram/twitter photos, including one of herself with her “new BFF” (lol)!
John Cusack and Emma Roberts were at Books and Melodies in Eastwood to shoot a scene for the upcoming independent film “Adult World,” a fictional story about a college graduate who gets a job at an adult bookstore.
Sunday, NewsChannel 9 finally caught a glimpse of the film’s stars.
Right now, the Hollywood celebrities and the movie is certainly the buzz around town.
“It’s crazy. I’ve never seen anything like it. First time I’ve ever seen it. He was great,” said Tricia Hand, who watched the film shoot from across the street.
“It puts Syracuse on the map, with our basketball team and the movies it makes us famous and it’s nice that they’re filming in our little community of Eastwood,” said Michelle Seitz who stopped and watched the filmmaking process.
The producer of the film is from Syracuse and told us to expect more movies to be shot in our area in the coming years.

On set of Adult WorldBelow you can view the first on set photos from Adult World today(February 18th) and even Emma tweeted a photo!
Emma Roberts and John Cusak shot scenes for the independent movie “Adult World” on the Syracuse University campus today.
“Adult World” stars Roberts, niece of Julia Roberts and lead actress in 2007′s “Nancy Drew,” as a poet who finds herself working in an adult bookstore to support herself. Cusack plays her mentor, a ’90s poet named Rat Billings.
Producers say the entire film will be shot in Syracuse and will feature local residents as stand-ins. Shooting runs now through March 5.

A glimpse of Emma filming Adult WorldBelow can see a behind the scenes look of filming for Adult World, which get to catch a glimpse of Emma’s brunette hair…
According to IMDB.com, “Adult World” is about “a recent college graduate who believes she’s destined to be a great poet, instead winds up working for an adult book store.”
Fiordon Road in DeWitt, a quiet tree lined street not far from Shoppingtown Mall, has hosted some serious star power over the past two days. The cast and crew of “Adult World” have been filming scenes at a local home – and curious neighbors had a chance to see just how a professional film crew works.
“Every day I walk to to the bus stop and see them making a movie,” said Jack Fennell as he watched the crew setting up for a shot.
Fennell and other local kids were able to see Emma Roberts film a scene where she runs out of a house and drives away in a minivan as other characters chase after her.
“It’s a great opportunity to see the backstage live scenes you only see on DVDs,” said Alex Frank, who lives nearby.
The younger generation was hoping to meet Roberts during a break in filming while many of their parents were hoping to catch a glimpse of her co-star, John Cusack.

More Instagram photos + Adult World Filming Emma added more instagram photos, check them out in the gallery! One is an adorable childhood photo, which I noticed was featured in the film Lymelife! Emma has been busy filming Adult World although she has tweeted about being sick on set, hopefully she gets better soon!
Emma Roberts was spotted at Phoebe’s Restaurant in Syracuse for the first day of filming on her new movie Adult World.
The movie will be moving quickly from one Central New York location to another (they had moved on from Phoebe’s to a second location by 10:30 a.m. today) due to their tight 22-day schedule.
The scenes shot at Phoebe’s were a coffee-shop scene (Roberts tries to buy a cup of coffee at a takeout window but doesn’t have enough cash) and a restaurant scene.
The movie will be set in Syracuse, it is not just filling in for another city, so they will be capturing as much of city as possible, including parts of Syracuse University and surrounding communities.
