Star Spotting: Beyonce And Jay-Z Bring Their Perfectness To A Knicks Game

Posted 23 minutes ago by Nicole James in Celebrity, Photos

Beyonce and Jay-Z chill courtside at a New York Knicks game.

Even though we know they were born with 14-karat gold in their DNA or something, Beyonce and Jay-Z do a really good job trying to convince people they're just normal, everyday parents. Beyonce's shoes and purse alone in this photo are probably worth about six months of my rent, but when the duo sat courtside at a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden yesterday, they basically looked like any other rich couple who can afford courtside Knicks tickets any time they please. I mean, who doesn't make seven figures?

We're just so glad Beyonce's not one of those moms who are all, "I have a baby now so I'm going to tone it down." PSHHHH. Bey's like, "Giant hoops? BAM. Yellow blazer? BOOM. The skinny jeans I wore before I got pregnant? POW." Okay, fine. Forget what I said about normal -- they're clearly divine beings from outer space.

Rihanna and Chris Brown guest on each other's remixes.

+ Rihanna and Chris Brown appear on each other's remixed tracks, which were released yesterday. Birthday girl Rihanna guests on Chris Brown's "Turn Up The Music," and Brown on Rihanna's NSFW "Birthday Cake" remix. (Idolator)

+ If you are upset, as I am, about the potentially harmful message Chris Brown and Rihanna working together might send to victims of abuse/ women/ fans, you're not alone. Billboard wrote an open letter to Brown and another to Rihanna. (Billboard)

+ Adam Lambert confirmed that he will perform with Queen. "As many suspected, I can finally confirm: I have been invited by Queen to sing one very special concert! Sonisphere at Knebworth July 7th!" he tweeted yesterday. (Billboard)

+ Lana Del Rey performed during London's Fashion Week at an after party over the weekend. Peep a bit of her performance. (Just Jared)

+ Guys, the Justin Timberlake as Bon Iver "Saturday Night Live" skit -- which featured "SNL" members playing Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Prince, LL Cool J and Nicki Minaj -- totes KILLED. And Sleigh Bells, they of course slayed. Watch the skit and performances here. (Pitchfork)

+ Check out a young Nicki Minaj rapping. Looking to be in her teens, she was spitting rhymes like she was destined for stardom, and well, the rest is history. (Idolator)

+ Michael Davis, the bassist for seminal proto-punk band MC5, passed away on Friday from liver failure. (Rolling Stone)

What's a better way to begin your week than with some good, old-fashioned fun. who drop their much-anticipated Some Nights on Tuesday? (Answer: Fun is always best. See what I did there?) Sleigh Bells, who just melted our faces on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, release their sophomore album, Reign of Terror, too. And "Glee" goes on hiatus until Apr. 10 after Tuesday's regionals episode. That's okay -- we'll be watching the epic Michael Jackson episode over and over until then.

Check out this week's album releases and talk show music guests below.

NEW ALBUM RELEASES
Tuesday, Feb. 21

+ Cursive
, I Am Gemini: The Nebraskan indie rock outfit take on another concept album. This time it's about twin brothers separated at birth: one is evil and one is good.

+ fun., Some Nights: Their sophomore album has already spawned a hit-destined single with "We Are Young (featuring Janelle Monáe)," which already hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs. Their knack for catchy melodies and sing-along, anthemic choruses pepper throughout.

+ Perfume Genius, Put Your Back N 2 It: Mike Handreas aka Perfume Genius crafts minimalistic, yet arresting piano compositions that serve as the underpinnings for his haunting, thoughtful and often fragile vocals and lyrics.

Check out more new album releases and upcoming TV appearances and performances after the jump.
