Today Emma Roberts was spotted at Phoebe’s Restaurant in Syracuse for the first day of filming on her new movie Adult World.
The movie will be moving quickly from one Central New York location to another (they had moved on from Phoebe’s to a second location by 10:30 a.m. today) due to their tight 22-day schedule.
The scenes shot at Phoebe’s were a coffee-shop scene (Roberts tries to buy a cup of coffee at a takeout window but doesn’t have enough cash) and a restaurant scene.
The movie will be set in Syracuse, it is not just filling in for another city, so they will be capturing as much of city as possible, including parts of Syracuse University and surrounding communities.
Adult World stars Roberts as a poet who finds herself working in an adult bookstore to support herself.

Just a few months short of making to the one-year mark, Emma Roberts and Chord Overstreet have reportedly called it quits.
According to a report, the “Valentine’s Day” beauty and the “Glee” star simply “grew apart.” The young couple has been linked since last April and, back in December, Chord told Ryan Seacrest that he and Emma were “having a blast together.”

Having quite the exciting time during her weekend in the snowy paradise of Park City, Emma Roberts packed in a full day of activity at the Sundance Film Festival on Saturday.
The “Hotel for Dogs” darling spent the afternoon visiting the Burton Lounge at Park City Mountain Resort, where she strapped on a snowboard and hit the slopes – having a good laugh as she took a few spills along the way.
Later in the evening, Emma changed up outfits and took to the second day of T-Mobile Presents Google Music at TAO to catch performances by Vintage Trouble and The Whigs.

Emma Roberts has always been a friend to MTV News, particularly at the Sundance Film Festival. Last year in Park City, we were fairly sure that we got Emma to drop a massive “Scream 4″ spoiler — namely that she wasn’t going to survive her encounter with Ghost Face — and we were right … partially.
At this year’s Sundance, our conversation with Emma was not so grim. The up-and-coming actress has a starring role in “Celeste and Jesse Forever,” a comedy about a divorcing couple struggling to maintain their friendship during an intense period of transition. In the film, which also stars co-writer Rashida Jones, Roberts goes against type as a pop star named Riley, who is an amalgamation of various musical icons. But according to the actress, there’s one particular singer she took her cues from.
“I got to bring together every pop star and mold it into one person,” she told MTV News about her role in the film. “[But] my hair is definitely Ke$ha. I have these fabulous long, blond, slightly ratty extensions. I miss those dearly.”
Of course, hair alone does not make a pop star. Roberts had to sing and dance to get into the role, rocking out with a dance anthem that was co-written by Jones herself.
“We recorded a song that Rashida co-wrote with a bunch of people, and it’s just wildly entertaining and inappropriate and it’s kind of a dance anthem. It was fun,” she said. “You know when you listen to songs and they yell at you to have fun? That’s kind of what we decided to do, because I love being yelled at to have fun and dance!”
