Workshop i Egypt

Well I’ve just finished the piece of work for the class in Egypt in March. It’s comprised of lots of different backgrounds which are then enhanced with assorted mixed media techniques and heavily embellished with hand stitching and beads. I’ve even rubber stamped an image on a tea bag ( love working with tea bags ).
Someone asked me if I was happy teaching Egyptians, well they are all Brits as it’s a British company that has organized the trip www.colouricious.com I’ve included a few photos for you to see.spacer spacer spacer spacer

Beryl, I love your work… I can’t explain why, could be the grid thing, or the subtle colors and how smoothly they change, could be a cosmic thing, I don’t know… I just know I love it. And I think I’m going to start a campaign so you can come to South America too. Ok? lol! Candida [aka MaiaFelidae/Pinterest]

    Hi Beryl,
I have simply adored, LOVED, even obsessed over your artwork for many years–having seen in it Stampington publications, and Interweave publications. I have your book, and your DVD. I am seriously considering joining you at Valley Ridge in June. I’m a bit intimidated because I don’t sew at all, though I’m willing to learn!! In this sample for your Egyptian (?!!!) session, it actually does not appear that you did very much machine stitching; it looks mostly hand stitched. Do you have a recommendation for me as to which sewing machine would work the best for doing the type of work you do, (which I want to learn how to do…)? I believe somewhere in some publication you did talk about that, but I can’t seem to locate the article. This sample from your Egyptian workshop is simply breathtaking!! Thanks — Diana

Beryl, hi…..oddly enough I have been working on small “stuffed” hearts lately….can not get them smooth around the edges like yours. Then today on CPS blog there were your hearts again on a tag. Now here are more on your Egypt piece. Guess I have to just keep working at them.
Your piece here is lovely –as always–
Diana, Beryl’s classes are wonderful, take one where ever/when ever you can.
