The following are harp events in Los Angeles and Orange County.

Music Education Auditions
This is a two part event available to members of the Orange County Chapter only, and is open to students of all ages! Wherein students of the harp will have the opportunity to play before a panel of professionals, who will give feedback to the students in order to help them improve a piece of their music. On the second day of this event the students come back! They will play the same piece to the same panel of professionals who will judge them on their improvement! This is an opportunity for our members to show just what kind of improvement and learning they can accomplish in only a month's time. The cost to participate in this event is only $10 per student, however it is limited to members of the chapter only. In order to purchase your tickets online you MUST have registered an account with www.orangeharps.org and have paid your American Harp Society/Orange County member dues for this year.
The event will take place from 9:00AM until 12:00 Noon at Salvi Harps, Inc:2000 S Santa Cruz St, Anaheim, CA

Grainne Hambly and William Jackson Workshop and Concert
OC AHS is delighted to present to the opportunity for harpists to work with Grainne Hambly and William Jackson for a one day event. This is an opportunty to meet two of the foremost celtic harpists of Ireland and Scotland. To attend the Workshop with Grainne Hambly from 2:30-3:30 PM the cost is $25. To attend the Workshop with William Jackson from 3:30-5:00 PM it is also $25. Tickets for the evening concert at 7:30 PM is $20.To attend both workshops and the concert it is only $60!. College Workshop Part I
Get Into College Seminar
This event is open to College Bound High School Students and their families. Wherein we will help you with selecting colleges to apply to, finding scholarships and financial aid, tailoring a repertoire based upon your selected schools, compiling a Curriculum Vitae(CV) containing:Harp Service, Harp Activities, resources for getting in touch with harp faculty, mock college auditions and interviews.This is the first of two evenings for this event, mainly containing information about the college process and those items listed above. At the second evening, we will work one on one with the students with suggestions on their essays and other materials prepared between the events. The date for the second event will be announced at the meeting.
Tickets for this event will be $15 and include access to the event for the high school student and his/her parents. We will also be holding a potluck dinner at the event, so please feel free to bring along your favorite college foods and snacks to share amongst those whom are attending.
