The Lazy Mama

My name is Carol. I am The Lazy Mama.

I work at home for online clients and blog weekly at TheLazyMama.net. If I get lucky enough, I get to bring all of this out of town so I could work with a lovely view and play during breaks.

I have a degree in Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering because I wanted a work that spends a lot of time in front of a computer. I guess I got my wish. I am lucky that I haven’t worked a job that does not require me in front of a computer. Or if it does not, I always find a way to involve computer. These days, what does not involve a computer?

I am a breastfeeding advocate, non-teacher-material, mother, housewife, partner, daughter and sister. I work hard so I can put my feet up later. I like shortcuts, cutting costs and easy do-it-yourself projects. I think if you work smart, you don’t need to work so hard.

Lazy Mama’s Family

I married my college sweetheart. Another Computer Engineer who wants to be a lawyer (still). It can be possible but it’s pretty challenging now that we’ve aged and got a kid. And as cheesy as it may sound, we complete each other. One cannot function without the other. Either we finish each other’s sentences or we think about the same thing at the same time. True story. We’re lucky that despite all that fighting and bickering that we religiously do, we laugh it off after cooling down. I guess that’s what makes a healthy marriage so we celebrate it when we do.

Jack Jack is our 3 year old toddler-slash-preschooler son. He’s a Mama’s boy, I tell you. Smart-ass, thoughtful, sweet, clever little guy. He surprises us everyday with his little quirks of brilliance. He loves cars, puzzles, Disney Junior, coloring and studying.

Portia is our 4 year old smooth furred Chihuahua. She’s the first-born daughter I never had. Although she shakes a lot like a normal Chihuahua does, she knows it’s mortal sin to poop on the bed. Sweet, stubborn and smart little dog. Lazier than I am ever, she sleeps most of the day and most of the night. She loves cuddling and playing.

Rocky is our 2.5 year old black Labrador. He’s our loyal guard dog who keeps the house safe. The bravest scariest dog we ever had. He loves to annoy play with the husband.

I tend to change my mind a lot (which is a good thing to me because I always try to change for the better) so there are times that I would consistently update my posts at any given time until they are perfect – for me that is. I also tend to be a perfectionist which makes me do less than more and I’m trying to change that all the time.
