Tribes
Here is a description of the urban tribes that collaborate in this project:
Nomads: nomads feel that the world is their home and in doing so are the most nostalgic of tribes. They pack light, meaningfully and will not be there for your birthday but will send you a post card. They love their bodies as the subtle machines that carry them around. They love Berlin.
Groupies: we love groupies. They convey a wonderful mix of voyeurism, access to unique social environments and a true passion for creators (celebreties). They are hot, educated, usually have a camera and completely lost in a timeline where the future is important. They are about being now, mingling, pragmatic pleasure.
Bohemians: ‘Savoire vivre’, ‘bon vivant’. They master the art of living. Slightly inconsequential. A true bohemian loves steak, sorry. He feels a little guilty, wants to save the world, but is just too busy enjoying it. It0s not about volume or numbers, they are about the democratization of luxury.
Hackers: deeply conscious about the interaction between people and machines. They hack and recombine and connect apparently disparate realities. They will tell you how things work and how you can take them apart and create new things. Their view of the world is atomist, mechanist and slightly skeptical.
