Block of the Month

Rumor has it that we've been working on another Block of the Month! We're happy to say that YES, it's true! We are starting a second Block of the Month Club in April. You are going to love the new quilt! If you've been in our shop in the past couple days, you've seen this beautiful quilt hanging on our wall...

The base colors are gray and cream, then you will be given the choice of what "Explosion" color you would like to add!

The gray fabrics we have chosen are from the Moda "Puttin' on the Ritz" line, and we bought out ALL the remaining stock on this fabric! The focus color fabrics are from the Kona fabric line "Explosion of Color."

Here are the details on this fabulous Block of the Month:

• Begins Saturday, April 14th, with classes at 10:30 am or 12:30 pm.
• All Block of the Month classes will be on the 2nd Saturday of each month.
• This will be a 9-month program.
• You will get to choose your own accent color.
• $10 enrollment fee
• $20 each month
• No finishing kit is required! The entire quilt top and binding are included.
• You will receive complete pattern instructions and setting diagram.
• We have great Giveaways at EVERY Block of the Month.
• Each Block of the Month will present how-tos and demos for every block.
• Discounts given on Quilt backing fabric when you pre-order.
• We offer Mail-order for quilters outside of Southern Utah (call store for details).
• LIMITED ENROLLMENT - we bought out the company of their stock in this line, so there will be no reprint!
• SIGN UP TODAY! This is a great way to get to know other quilters, so bring your daughter, mom or friends with you!

We had fun meeting with all of you at our Block of the Month this month! It was fun to see all of your inspiring projects.

We were especially impressed with Alice Tait's Grand-daughter who was 8 years old. She brought in her first quilt that she made to share with us! She did a great job!

Unfortunately our camera took a little break and we weren't able to capture ALL of you who brought things in! We did however get a few, and wanted to share them with you.

Also, yes, the rumors are true! We are starting another Block of the Month in April! You are going to love it too. The quilt is going to be mostly gray and cream, then you will be able to select one color as the focus fabric. The quilt is stunning. It just came off the quilting machine, so as soon as we can get it bound we'll have a picture ready to share with you!

We have had a slight (ok major) change of plans with our Block of the Month Quilt. We have decided to go with a completely different quilt, which is a darling "row quilt" from a pattern book by Jillily Studios. We are positive you are going to LOVE it! Jill Finley is the pattern designer, and we are using many of her fabrics from her new fabric line called "Sorbet Garden."

This Block of the Month is going to work just a bit differently than our previous Block of the Months. So here are the details...

• Sign up fee for the Block of the Month is $25. This price DOES include the pattern book, which is a $26.95 value!
• This Block of the Month will start Saturday, January 14, 2012 and finish September 8, 2012. It will run for 9 continuous months with no breaks.
• Each month will cost $10, and you will receive the fabric to complete an entire row of the quilt.
• If you would like to pay for the entire kit at once, BEFORE January 14, the cost will be $75. This is a $15 savings vs. paying $10 each month. You will receive your monthly fabric kits during our scheduled Block of the Month days.
• The sashing, borders and binding will be included in the last month's kit, so there is no need to purchase an additional "finishing kit." You will have the option of yellow or green outer-borders.
• Fabric for quilt backing will be sold separately.
• Jill Finley (fabric and pattern designer) has agreed to come to our shop and do a trunk show! She will be visiting us during our Block of the Month.
• Customers who live outsite of Southern Utah are also welcome to sign up for this Block of the Month! Please call our store at 435-674-2500 to register and be sure to tell them you need to be on the Mail-Order list. Your kits will be mailed each month.

We are getting so excited for our 2012 Block of the Month! We will be starting it January 14, 2012, which is the second Saturday of January. Then, each month after we will meet the 2nd Saturday. This year we have chosen a darling fabric line called "Pam Kitty Morning" from Lakehouse Drygoods.

The fabrics are so fun and bright! We love the quilt pattern too...

We hope to receive the fabrics by Mid-November. The quilt should be ready soon after! Check back soon and we'll keep you posted on the progress. In the mean time, please still plan on visiting us on the 2nd Saturday in November and December...we'll be offering our Block of the Month "Deal of the Day" as usual so you won't want to miss that!

We had a wonderful time with all of our Block of the Month Ladies this last Saturday. September concludes the 2011 Block of the Month! The final block is here! We hope you have enjoyed making this quilt. We can't wait for you all to finish your Block of the Month Quilts, and we hope you'll bring them in to show us them when you've finished.

We are always so thankful to those who bring Show & Tell to share with everyone. It is such a treat to see the many projects and quilts that are being made from month to month. You are all simply amazing and such an inspiration to us all. Thank you!

Ladies, you've done it again! As always, we are so impressed with our talented customers. We had a great time on Saturday with our Block of the Month ladies. Thank you all for sharing your numerous talents with us. You truly are an inspiration to us all.

Thank you to all the ladies who brought their finished quilts and projects to share with us during our June Block of the Month! We are always so amazed by the talent. We hope you enjoy seeing the projects and gaining inspiration.

Just wanted to post a quick reminder that Saturday, June 11 is BLOCK of the MONTH! We took a break last month because of Quilt Market, but we're ready to get back in the swing of things. Just a reminder that we will NOT be holding Block of the Month in May! We have had the great opportunity of attending International Quilt Market in Salt Lake City. We look forward to sharing many new ideas and products that we found. Also, be sure to finish the "Quad Blocks" that were handed out in April.  We will see you all on June 11...or hopefully sooner!
