In the memory of the lives lost in the tragic bombings in Amman in 9/11/2005, Mozart's requiem will be performed on the 10th & 11th of November 2006
Anyone who watched the famous movie Amadeus will probably remember the Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s last composition, the requiem, who wrote it in 1791 but never got the chance to finish it before his death, therefore; his friend and pupil Franz Xaver Sussmayr completed his work.
The Requiem or Requiem Mass is a service of the Roman Catholic Church. Its theme is a prayer for the salvation of the souls of the departed, and it is used both at services immediately preceding a burial, and on occasions of more general remembrance.
The text for the requiem mass is mostly fixed. Originally, such funeral musical compositions were meant to be performed with monophonic chant. Eventually the dramatic character began to appeal to composers to an extent that made the requiem a genre of its own.
Part of the requiem will also be performed by a small group of Jordanian musicians at Hyatt Amman’s lobby, 8 November at around 7:15 PM.
God Bless Amman, God Bless Jordan...

So why Monty? This nickname was given to me 4 years ago by my niece, J, who was barely two at that time. She was visiting Teta and Jido's (Grandma and Grandpa's) house.
Becoming familiar with the family for this poor kid was very confusing, not only because we have a lot of cousins and relatives, but mostly because they call me different names in front of her. They would tell her that Tania is your Aunt or sometimes Aunty or Tania or conjure them together into something like Aunt Tania or Aunty Tania. After facing this dilemma, she decided to call me Monty, just like that. After a couple of years, her two younger siblings, A.& M., adopted the name."
