The title of the blog came from an event in Asia where an Aussie advertising guy asked; “How did a girl from NZ make it here?” I was thinking, if he thinks NZ is small he should see Kumeu. Kumeu is a small town in NZ where I grew up ((pronounced ‘q-me-u). The population now totals about 6,000 and even has an award winning vineyard – Kumeu River Wines.
Until recently I worked for a major research company and led a practice of 300 researchers across Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East and Africa. We led innovation front end work utilising ethnographic tools, we pioneered digital approaches as well as day to day group work. I now work out of Melbourne as a Problem Solver for Raspberry.
