Organization Objective/Purpose:
Schwab’s Shared Strategic Services organization supports the client experience across Schwab’s revenue enterprises through shared accountability for the products we develop, the accounts, collateral, tools, platforms and systems we manage, and the financial research that distinguishes our investment products and helps clients make smart choices. Shared Strategic Services plays a critical role in understanding and driving client loyalty, in the firm’s economic results and in the development of new products and offerings that will spur growth for Schwab in the future. To deliver a seamless Schwab experience for clients and in a cost effective manner, Shared Strategic Services works in close partnership with each of the revenue enterprises and our colleagues from around the firm.

Regulatory Collateral & Communications, a unit of the Shared Strategic Services organization, is responsible for establishing strategic direction for Schwab’s account, product, and service forms collateral across channels as well as developing new and executing content changes to support firm initiatives and regulatory changes.
Brief Description of Role:
The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of forms collateral development, including the creation and production of new forms and applications as well as revisions to existing forms and application content across channels. Position responsibilities include overseeing forms initiatives stemming from product and marketing campaigns, corporate policy and regulatory changes from beginning to end (e.g. developing content strategy and leading cross-functional teams, writing drafts and creative briefs, authoring changes, managing internal and external agency relationships and creative development, working with internal business partners, legal, compliance, and other subject matter experts to obtain their support and partnership on forms projects and keeping them informed of status, managing system enhancements to support new forms development, developing and proactively managing project timelines and communication plans, managing production and deployment) across paper and electronic delivery channels. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for understanding the regulatory environment and competitive landscape and offerings, conducting competitive research and analysis, conducting client & field research and managing client expectations and feedback, closely partnering with service, operations, technical and other business partners to identify procedural and systems impact and act as task force implementation leader, creating internal communications to inform of messaging and client calls to action, and inventory and budget management.
Technical/Functional Qualifications:
* 5+ years of relevant experience required. Experience in developing client facing forms and applications and content for print and web, including ability to use client insights to inform content strategy and development
* Bachelor’s degree preferred
* Excellent project management skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver results in a highly matrixed/cross-functional environment
* Highly client-oriented with demonstrated marketing strategy, process management and implementation experience
* Strong decision making skills, ability to prioritize work and negotiate compromises with business and technology partners as needed
* Strong planning and organization skills, including solid judgment in assessing critical vs. secondary business priorities
* Highly effective problem solving and judgment skills– proactively able to identify problems, evaluate information and develop and implement viable solutions
* Agency management skill preferred, including relationship management, feedback process and workload, communications regarding collateral standards and guidelines
* Strong communication skills, including marketing/creative copywriting, editing, and proofing, and ability to track and report on business and success measurements
* Strong data analysis and synthesis skills – experience in assessing projects and being able to clearly define objectives, milestones, and project implementation
* Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build strong relationships among internal and external partners, including ability to interact very well with Legal and Compliance to understand issues and develop agreements
* Strong understanding of brokerage and banking regulatory environment is highly preferred
* Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction; well developed ability to grasp assignments and manage from inception through to completion
