We plan your portrait session based on your goals and artistic preferences…
Because of Betsy’s extensive training in photography, art, and art history, Betsy’s Photography is able to provide our clients with flattering and creative portraits that can be displayed and enjoyed as more than just photographs, but as custom artwork.
Your Portrait Experience
We have a specialized portrait process to help you determine what you want to get our of your session, and how we can create portraits that you will absolutely love. Award-winning photographic artist Betsy Finn will work with you to make sure that your portrait experience will be everything you deserve — and more! Your portrait experience will consist of three stages:
- Complimentary Consultation
- Portrait Session
- Viewing & Ordering Appointment
The Consultation:
During your complimentary consultation, Betsy will go over what you want to get out of your session, and give you options to help your portrait session fit your vision. The more you share with Betsy about “what you would like” from your session, the better we will be able to create images that speak to your heart. Betsy loves to find out about your family, your personalities, and any adorable family quirks, so she can create a portrait that will truly capture your family dynamics. Because the success of your portrait experience depends on capturing the personalities of your family members, this consultation appointment is necessary to ensure you will be 100% satisfied with the results of the portrait session.
The Portrait Session:
Your portrait session experience itself will vary based on what you discuss with Betsy during your consultation appointment. Generally clients select either an indoor studio session or an outdoor location session, based on the time of year and the look you are trying to achieve. If your session will include little ones, Betsy will take special care to schedule around nap and meal times.
The Viewing & Ordering Appointment:
About a week after your session, you will meet back at the studio for your ordering appointment with Betsy. Since portraits are a visual investment, we believe it is best for you to complete the ordering process in person. Additional family members are welcome to attend to assist in ordering and to order for themselves.
