My six year old son is into chess lately. I don’t like playing chess but I would like to encourage my son to do so. I think it is good for developing your planing and strategical mind. Anyway, I decided to build him a chess board and this is what I came up with.

Boston T Line Subway scroll - Letting it dry
Here is a photo of a custom train scroll with destinations of the Boston T Line that I am making for a client. I took this photo after spraying the canvas with a water-based acrylic coating to protect it from scuffs and scratches. The gloss will dissipate when the acrylic dries up. I will wait until tomorrow for the protective coating to cure before I stretch the scroll on 1 1/2 inch thick gallery wrap stretcher bars.
The Canvas size is 24″ x 64″. The final size of the scroll after stretching it on gallery wrap bars will be 20″ x 60″.
