I know most of you are afraid to go into a college interview because you are anticipating it to be serious, boring, and very hard. But if you will just get some idea on what the college interview is all about and what is really happening during the interview, you will certainly know what to do on a college interview.

First, you must be prepared for the interview. You must know the most common questions generally asked during a college interview. Next, be efficient enough to conduct a brief research about the college, its standards and policies as well as the house rules so that you can easily answer if they will ask what you know about their college. Also, you must prepare what you should wear for the interview. Wear clean, neat and formal clothes and look as if you are a professional. Be confident but not too loud when answering the interviewer.

Knock the door before entering the door; sit properly when you are already asked to seat and always show confidence all the time. Smile, do not give the college admission officer the impression that you are too bored or too tired to be there. Have some presence of mind and focus on everything that the interviewer says. In short, pay attention! Be honest in all your answers because they will surely know if you are not telling the truth. Do a firm handshake after the interview and do not forget to send back a thank you note or letter. And last but not the least, act naturally and with poise in the entire college interview process.
