One of the finest vocalists not just of his generation, but of all time, Paul Rodgers made his name with FREE, before going on to enjoy further successes with Bad Company, The Firm, The Law and most recently with Queen. He is also a solo artist in his own right.

What has always put Rodgers in a league of his own has been an ability to adapt to the needs of a song while being able to maintain his own resolute individuality.

FREE formed in 1968 when Middlesbrough born Rodgers was only 18. Poached from R&B band Black Cat by Paul Kossoff , the band quickly came together, legendarily rehearsing and playing their first gig together on the same day.

In 1970 FREE shot up the charts with the iconic All Right Now, their biggest hit and a track Rodgers co wrote with Andy Fraser. It went to number 1 in over 20 countries and is one of the cornerstones of British Blues, a sound established by his unique vocal style that help turn them very quickly into one of the UK’s highest grossing acts, shoulder to shoulder with Led Zeppelin.

After Free broke up Rodgers helped to start another iconic band in Bad Company. He  also worked with Jimmy Page in The Firm and Kenney Jones in The Law. Most recently, he was the man to whom Brian May and Roger Taylor turned when they decided to record a new Queen album, and so was born the band known as Queen With Paul Rodgers.

Rodgers has also had a enduring and ongoing solo career, and right now, with more than 40 years’ experience behind him, Paul Rodgers sounds better than ever. A testimony to his talent and discipline.
