Biography

Jessica Kresa, though she prefers to be called Jessie, is one of women’s wrestling’s more outlandish wrestlers. Born on June 6th, 1978, Jessie was always more into men and being a tom boy than hanging out with girls and talking about make-up and jewelry. Growing up, Jessie was fascinated by ice hockey, and was even part of the St. Cloud State University girl’s team for two years where she was captain of the team. Jessie loved watching wrestling as a child, looking up to wrestlers such as The Killer Bees. And although she desired to be on America’s Gladiators, Jessie soon realized that wrestling was where she truly belonged, and all of her fans are grateful that she went for it.

Jessie made her start in wrestling by trying out for WWE’s Tough Enough, although she made the Top 25, they deemed her not good enough for the final show. Determined, and not ready to back down, Jessie went back to her home of Minnesota and participated in promotions there, wrestling against guys like Ken Anderson and Shawn Daivari. She made her debut in Total Non Stop Wrestling in 2003, wrestling against Trinity before disappearing, then returning two more times as Poison in a feud with Trinity, and again in 2004 in a match against Traci Brooks.

In 2006, Jessie made her debut at Ohio Valley Wrestling, the stomping ground for those wanting to get into WWE, where she became a two-time OVW Women’s Champion and wrestled against and alongside of talents such as Serena Deeb, Katie Lea (now know as Winter), Maryse Ouellet, Alicia Fox, Beth Phoenix, and many more talented women. Jessie stayed with OVW through 2007 before she made her re-debut in TNA.

From 2007 to 2010, Jessie wrestled for TNA, where she became a three-time TNA Knockouts Champion, a one-time Queen of the Cage in 2009, and won the New Years Knockouts Eve Tournament in 2009. During this time, Jessie feuded with the Beautiful People, Awesome Kong, Gail Kim, Tara, and many other talented women, making TNA’s Knockout Division their top division, helping to bring in top ratings for their segments.

Unfortunately, in 2010, Jessie parted ways with TNA, under the assumption that she was tired of the way the girls were treated. While gone from TNA, she participated in various promotions, and even took part in a few movies, before heading back to TNA in 2011.

Jessie now performs in TNA as the most outlandish and charismatic knockouts they have, working alongside of top stars such as Tara and Mickie James.
