About the Owner

Hai. Im Zan, an 18-year old female currently majoring in history at UW-Stevens Point. Im really into graphic design, coding, writing, and all that good stuff, which led to the creation of CCR what I call my baby, this little web site youre currently at. My zodiac sign is Cancer, which fits me perfectly. Myers-Briggs has labeled me an INFP, and that fits really well, too. I love thunderstorms, rollercoasters, the ocean, and going to Dennys at two in the morning (because thats when the crazies come out, and I love people-watching.)

Literature is my art, and words are my medium. Ive been an active reader since I have been able to, and in fifth grade I realized writing was just as much fun. Mostly I write prose, but occasionally youll find a poem or song posted here. In eighth grade I started role playing because of a friend of mine, and Ive been playing different characters on sites off and on since then. I shall one day write an epic fantasy novel, though when I don't know.

Harry Potter shall forever remain my favorite series it turned me from a casual reader into an obsessive one but right now Scott Lynchs Gentlemen Bastards series is a close runner-up, followed by Jonathan Strouds Bartimaeus Books, any of Tamora Pierces Tortall books, and the Strange Angels series by Lili St. Crow. There's also Patrick Rothfuss' The Kingkiller Chronicles and Cinda Williams Chima's Seven Realms Quartet. And that's just naming a few. When I do read realistic fiction, Sarah Dessens books have a way to keep me totally absorbed.

I love manga/anime, but I can't really afford to buy the books, so I make do with oneline manga sites and Japanese RPG games, like Harvest Moon or Pokemon. I'm also a Sims junkie. And I'm not ashamed.

When I watch television, Im pretty specific about what I watch. My favorite shows are Ghost Hunters, Family Guy, The Office, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer, and Community. If none of those are on, I will gladly watch anything on Comedy Central (especially Tosh.0). Perhaps my favorite movies ever are The Count of Monte Cristo, The Lion King, 300, Stardust, The Princess Bride, Little Miss Sunshine, Treasure Planet, and, most recently, Scott Pilgrim vs The World. There are more I love epic blockbusters, horror films, martial art films, and movies with tons of gore and/or comedy.

Although I have a lot of friends who listen to rap, hip-hop, pop, and techno, I just cant make myself enjoy it. Im a hardcore rock fan, and will listen to any subgenre, from indie to break-your-head-open screamo. My list of favorite bands is longer than the Constitution, but I will tell you that my favorite is Bayside and that I idolize Jimi Hendrix. I have a big ole poster of him above my bed, and another above my bedroom door.

I love talking, as you can see, and tend to ramble. But dont let my over-opinionated views and tangents scare you away. Im actually quite friendly and make friends easily. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, suggestions, requests, or if you just want to chat.
