The mission of the Office of Planning and Assessment (OPA) is to promote and support a culture of evidence and continuous improvement at UNCG. The Office of Planning and Assessment provides leadership for all matters related to institutional planning, accreditation, and assessment, including the coordination of the Institutional Effectiveness Committee.
OPA is responsible for overseeing the development of the UNCG strategic plan, plans for its implementation, and monitoring progress on it; ensuring proper academic program planning and reporting, including maintaining UNCG's inventory of academic programs, monitoring the status of new program requests, and notifying, seeking approval from, and communicating with Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and General Administration (GA). OPA is also responsible for coordinating the Annual Report.
