Background information

Premier Media Group has been broadcasting medium wave Christian radio to London and the home counties since June 1995. In September 2009 we launched our station on National DAB radio. We also broadcast on the internet, Sky Digital & Freeview. Three monthly Christian magazines are published in-house: Christianity, Youthwork and Christian Marketplace. It is a very busy, fast-moving and demanding multi-media office environment, changing and reacting to news and technology by the day. We look for lively, high-performance individuals who are dedicated, willing and flexible.

Head of Finance

Premier Media Group is seeking a new Head of Finance to be based in our office and studio in central London (SW1). You will be responsible for the financial management and strategic financial development and direction of the organisation as well as being “hands on”. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide consistent, robust and expert financial advice to the Executive and other senior management colleagues, as well as to the Company Board and the Trustees of Premier Christian Media Trust.

You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with proven experience in a commercial environment. You will have a vision to lead a restructured finance team and create a finance function that fully supports the organisation as it seeks to consolidate and grow, making effective use of financial systems (Iris Exchequer recently introduced). You will be a team player with strong communication and influencing skills. You will need to understand and agree with the Christian mission and aims of Premier so as to support the organisation appropriately.

The full-time post is to start in April 2012 or as soon after as possible. Interviews will be held on 12th March and 30th March.

Are you a freelance journalist?

Premier Media Group is expanding its current freelance pool and is on the look-out for bi-media freelance journalists. The news team is responsible for producing and reading bulletins and news programmes for Premier National, Premier London and Premier Gospel. You will have a strong voice and be an accomplished reader/writer and be responsible for creating original, compelling news content.
