Elimination Chamber Qualifying Battle Royal Match
(Featuring David Otunga, Santino Marella, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Percy Watson, Heath Slater, Ezekiel Jackson, Jinder Mahal, Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks, Michael McGillicutty, Titus O’Neil, Primo, Epico, Hunico, Comacho, Derrick Bateman, Justin Gabriel, Ted DiBiase, Drew McIntyre, Darren Young, Alex Riley, Johnny Curtis, Yoshi Tatsu, and Tyson Kidd)

Everyone starts brawling at the bell and you can see Santino trying avoid getting hit while Otunga throws Derrick Bateman out and Hawkins pucnhes Johnny Curtis in the face. Percy Watson gets thrown out, then Titus and Jey Uso are next and Zeke has Slater on the ropes while Santino fights off Otunga. He tries to throw him out as Drew McIntyre gorilla press slams Tyson Kidd to the floor, then Jinder Mahal knees Slater in the head to eliminate him. Darren Young tries to toss Ted DiBiase, but they both hold onto the ropes but Ted gets Darren to fall, then Yoshi is next to go out. Alex Riley fights to stay on the apron as DiBiase throws Camacho out, and Michael McGillicutty gets slingshotted over the top rope as we go to a break.

When we return, Curt Hawkins gets thrown to the floor, then Primo and Epico double team Riley and throw him out then fight off an attack by Reks. They suplex him on the ropes then Johnny Curtis gets thrown into him and they both get eliminated, and Jimmy Uso is next and Primo flips Epico over the ropes. He apologizes while Epico screams at him, and DiBiase gets tossed then he gets angry and clotheslines Hunico while Gabriel clotheslines Primo. They end up fighting on the apron but Gabriel blocks a punch and hits a spin kick that knocks Primo out, but McIntyre hits Gabriel from behind to send him out.

We get down to the final four and Santino puts on his Cobra sleeve, then Drew and Otunga go after him until Zeke tries to fight them both off. Drew kicks him in the face and plays to the crowd but Santino catches him off guard and eliminates him, then Zeke tries to throw Santino out but Santino grabs the ropes and Zeke falls to the floor. Otunga punches Santino in the corner and taunts him but Santino psyches up and punches him back then misses a headbutt. Otunga drops him with a neckbreaker and continues to flex, then he picks up Santino and goes to throw him out but Santino reverses it and throws Otunga out to the floor to win the battle royal.

Winner – Santino Marella

(1) Santino won a 10-man Battle Royal for a shot at the U.S. Title. The Battle Royal included: Santino, Dolph Ziggler, David Otunga, Primo, Epico, Mason Ryan, Kofi Kingston, Michael McGillicutty, Drew McIntyre, and Alex Riley. When all the wrestlers were in the ring, they circled around David Otunga (who wasn’t dressed to wrestle) and ganged up on him, which resulted in Mason Ryan throwing him out of the ring for the first elimination.

Then later that night:

Next, David Otunga came out with a mic in-hand announcing that he is the Legal Counsel of the Interim Raw GM, and that he isn’t known for making any excuses, but said that he was not ready for the Battle Royal and was not dressed for action. He also said that it was not fair because it was nine-on-one. He said he was ready now and called out his opponent. McGillicutty came out and Otunga used some “big words” on him that he said Michael and the crowd did not understand because of how stupid they were. He also said that he was always the Brains and the Brawn of the team and he was responsible for carrying him in the past. He said that he was the star and everyone is here to see him. Then, he called Michael worthless and attacked him before the bell.

(3) Michael McGillicutty vs David Otunga.

This was a re-match from Day 1 of the tour, and it’s quite interesting to me how WWE made sure people cheered Michael by having his opponents diss the crowd before the match (Otunga and McIntyre did that the past two nights). “You Suck” chants from the crowd towards Otunga, who was dominant most of the match until McGillicutty caught him with a small package out of nowhere for the pin and the win.

Winner: Michael McGillicutty via Pinfall

Michael Mcgillicutty v Drew McIntyre

McIntyre informed the crowd he had flown 14 1/2 hours to get to the UAE and was looking forward to having a quick match so he can leave the UAE. He also proclaimed tonight would be the night his losing streak ends. McGillicutty won via pinfall.

Winner: Michael McGillicutty via Pinfall

Michael McGillicutty & JTG vs. Primo & Epico (w/Rosa Mendes):

Primo and McGillicutty start off and they fight over an arm wringer until Primo catches him with a head scissors takeover and then stops for a kiss from Rosa. McGillicutty wrestles him down and slaps his back and blows a kiss to Rosa, ah, showing some personality there. McGillicutty runs the ropes and leaps over him and scores with a dropkick and clotheslines him to the floor. Rosa and Epico create all sorts of distractions, which allows Primo to recover and clobber Michael from behind. The champs take over and double up on him in the corner. Epico settles into a chinlock and tries a neckbreaker but McGillicutty counters into a backslide and tags in JTG. He leaps into the fray, and hits a running back elbow and clotheslines. He works SO much better as a babyface, much like Tyson Kidd or Justin Gabriel. I just noticed that JTG is paying tribute to Kris Kross, wearing his pants on backwards. Epico stumbles into the corner, where Primo blind tags; JTG backdrops Epico but Primo sneaks up with a Backstabber for three.

Here are your winners… Primo & Epico @ around 7:20 via Backstabber pinfall.

Kofi Kingston vs. Michael McGillicutty:

There is some history between these two; Kingston was McGillicutty’s pro on Season 2 of NXT. McGillicutty tosses Kofi so he comes back with an armbar; McGillicutty reciprocates with his own armbar and hammers Kofi down. Kingston comes back with a senton splash for a one count. McGillicutty takes over with his thrilling chokes on the ropes and clotheslines. He tries to run the ropes, which allows Kingston to dazzle him with a bunch of leapfrogs and a leg lariat, for one. Kingston keeps Mike off-balance with a corner pendulum kick and a floating top-rope frog crossbody for a nearfall. Kingston grounds McGillicutty with a keylock, which is rare for Kofi. McGillicutty charges and tumbles to the floor, Kofi fakes him out, and then hits a topé, from a long distance. Back from commercial, Kinston continues to control McGillicutty; he tries another pendulum kick but Mike blocks it and turns it into a neckbreaker. McGillicutty takes over with a chinlock. Yay. Kingston tries to speed it up but runs into a drop-toehold. McGillicutty stalks him with punches to the kidneys, which, at least, is a different approach, better than chinlocks. A backbreaker sets up a chinlock and we enter the 80′s portion of the match, and the crowd responds in turn, with indifference. Kingston avoids a corner charge and hits a Pelé enziguri. Kofi begins Comeback #8: clotheslines, dropkicks and leaping lariats. The Boom Drop follows as I notice no more Air Boom kneepads on Kingston. Trouble in Paradise is missed as is a running dropkick from McGillicutty; the S.O.S. follows for three… but McGillicutty grabs the ropes. Referee Rod Zapata waives off the pinfall and McGillicutty hangs Kofi off the top rope while he is questioning it. A nice series of counters follow: McGillicutter… S.O.S…. backslide… until the Trouble in Paradise connects to get Kingston victory number one post Air Boom. No mentions of Air Boom’s breakup or Bourne’s situation save for a few mentions (Air Boom is mentioned, but not Bourne). This match was actually pretty good! Good main event this week.

Here is your winner… Kofi Kingston @ approx. 12:15

I met Joe at Denny's after Raw in Philadelphia. I got to a chance to spend a few moments with him and he is one of the sweetest guys I've ever met!! I was always a fan of his father's and when I heard Joe was going to be in NXT Season 2, I cheered for him all the way! He is very kind hearted and took a picture with me. I just hope that he will start using the Perfect Plex again as his finisher! Thank you for the honor and to Joe, I love you and your future gets brighter everyday.
