We Are Doomed: Dispatches From the City of the Future
by Brad Liening
InDigest Editions #001
(first edition)
Only $9
About WAD: DFTCOTF:
We Are Doomed: Dispatches From the City of the Future explores a more overtly political stance than some of Liening’s previous work, in an attempt to write poems about politics without becoming too didactic or, well, fucking boring. The poems send messages from future places and deftly examine the ephemera of our every day lives.
About Brad Liening:
Brad Liening is the author of the new full-length collection Ghosts and Doppelgängers [Lowbrow Press, 2011], as well as the chapbooks We Are Doomed: Dispatches from the City of the Future [InDigest Editions, 2011], Oblivion, More [H_NGM_N BKS, 2010], and Are You There God? It’s Me, Whitney Houston [Hell Yes Press, 2009]. His poems explore the minutia of existence in a world saturated in celebrity, obsessions, technology, and a never-ending abundance of all things with quiet cynicism and humor that can be disarming.
