About Raymond.com
This Web site provides news and reference information on recycling and environmental legislation in the United States and around the world.
Raymond Communications, Inc., was established in 1991 to provide news, analysis and forecasting on state and local recycling laws. Our publications report on regulation of packaging, products and other environmental matters. State Recycling Laws Update (SRLU), our first newsletter, covers development in the United States and Canada.
In Europe and Asia, "producer responsibility" laws for packaging, electronics, batteries and other products became law in dozens of countries. So we launched a second newsletter, Recycling Laws International (RLI), in 1995. We track issues particularly hot in Europe and Asia.
We also publish special reports, provide custom research and consultant referral. If you are not familiar with our credentials, please see the staff biographies page.
This site is divided into three sections:
- State Recycling Laws Update - news and archive of back issues from 1997
- Recycling Laws International - news and archive of back issues from 1997
- Online Reference Library - contains our Country Page reference guides; special reports,
conference papers, full texts of many laws and proposals from around the world.
You can opt for parts of the library on a "pay-per-view" basis. Some of our Special Reports are rather large, so they are available on CD or hard copy.
Larger companies may want to look into the "global password" service to the entire library.
