[Daytona Beach, FL] The second annual World Series of Chili is upon us! The chili cook-off begins tomorrow (Saturday, November 18) at 12 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m. with awards being announced at four oclock. Today is the final day to get your discounted advance tickets by calling the Cubs at (386) 257-3172. Walk up tickets are available tomorrow so come on down to The Jack. Remember, all proceeds benefit the United Way so this is for a great cause!

DAYTONA CUBS, GENERAL MANAGER RECEIVE LEAGUE HONORS
Front Office Honored with Larry MacPhail Promotional Trophy; Bill Papierniak as Executive of the Year

[Daytona Beach, FL] The Florida State League has officially announced that the Daytona Cubs are the 2006 FSL recipients of the Larry MacPhail Promotional Trophy, which honors the team that has distinguished itself in on-field and off-field promotions, as well as community involvement and overall operation. In addition, General Manager Bill Papierniak was tabbed as FSL Executive of the Year. Both awards are determined by a vote of the directors of all 12 FSL franchises and were presented to Papierniak earlier this week.
