About namari

Namari, which apparently means “lead” in Japanese, is actually a combination of Nat and Marie. It was technically born a few days before Christmas, however it didn’t officially open until January 14th, 2011, 2 weeks later than it should have. It is run by Nat Marie, powered by WordPress, a plethora of plugins, iced coffee, endless cussing at failed coding and sarcastic remarks. The dedicated server I’m on is brought to us by Surpass Hosting. At the moment, I will host people, but it would more than likely be by invitation only.

The move from Crestfallen to Namari was a tough one. A friend told me that due to all these new and exciting things happening in my life, that Crestfallen no longer suited me. And after thinking about it, she was right; I was no longer the 95% emo chick that I was a few years ago. I’ve grown into my own, I suppose.

While namari has layouts created by myself, the main purpose of it is not to show off graphical prowess (or the lack thereof). I know where my strengths lie, and I weigh heavily on these strengths. This isn’t to say that I don’t care about the look of the site. It’s just that I won’t put a lot of emphasis on it. I rather be true to myself. I’m not the best graphic maker. So there it is.

All of what I write here is mine unless otherwise noted. Please respect that and enjoy the site. I’m not going to be evil and say “if you don’t like it, then there’s the little X”. However, I say that if you don’t have anything nice to say, then spare me. 9 out of 10 times, I’m probably not going to give a shit, and I’m probably going to do the same shit I did before.

namari.org was created with new beginnings in mind. This is the story of a New Yorker toughing it out in the wild palm-tree infested, no snow territory of California with her super dorky gamer addict fiance. Her name is Nat Marie, and this is her story; told with sarcasm and caffeine.
