Dear Jimmy,

Today marks your 31st birthday. Well, it would have been your 31st birthday. As promised in my last letter, I’m writing to you again. Now, some may find this odd or not necessary, but I am doing this as a way to let you know that you are always in my heart and that I haven’t forgotten the day you were born.

Today the world was graced with your presence. I believe that you were a special man. You were able to touch so many lives. People all around the world loved you and more than half of those people never met you, yet you were able to touch their life in some positive way.

I know you touched mine for the better and I will always be grateful for that. There have been a lot of times where I wonder if my life would have been impacted more had I met you, but then I realize that I didn’t need to meet you. I may be living through other people’s experiences of meeting you or getting my information about you and your brothers from other people, but I still felt that connection the day I read about your death.

A star was bought in your name today by a group of fans who run a website about the band. You are surrounded by a lot of fans who will never forget you. Everyone in the extended A7X family will always love you.

I will always keep you in my heart and think about how life would be different if you were still here with us today. We all miss you. We all wish you were still here with us and playing your drums and making music, but we are slowly coming to terms with the fact that you are no longer here.
