One of the most significant contemporary craft museums in the United States, RAM's permanent collection includes more than 5,000 objects from nationally and internationally recognized artists. Its mission is to elevate the stature of craft to fine arts by presenting ceramics, fibers, glass, metals, and wood alongside painting and sculpture.

RAM plays a vital role in arts education at RAM's Wustum Museum, where community outreach programs and studio art classes are taught by artists working in craft.
