The YMCA Leaders Club at the Jerry Long Family YMCA is for 13-18 year olds who are interested in physical fitness, volunteerism and building leadership qualities. The Y supports families in helping students grow up to reach their full potential when they apply to college and future jobs. Leaders Club gives teens an opportunity to give back to their community and develop close friendships with other teens and members of the YMCA.

Her 7-year-old granddaughter had lost her only parent in April and the grandmother became her legal guardian. This experience allows the young girl to make new friends as she will be entering a new school system in the fall and it also allows the grandmother a needed respite from a new and quite busy lifestyle
