2012 HADHC Team Update as of 2/10/12

Airzona: 17-8 (8-4 Pac-12)-Arizona is playing their best basketball of the season, winning 3 Pac-12 games in a row, including wins over Cal, Stanford and Colorado. The streaking Wildcats are set to face new conference opponent Utah Saturday, 2/11/12.

Hawaii: 13-10 (5-4 WAC)- The Rainbow Warriors are 5-4 and currently sit in 4th in the WAC standings. With March drawing near, Hawaii needs to show more consistency on the boards. They have a great opportunity this Saturday, 2/11/12 when they host Fresno State.

Indiana State: 14-11 (5-9 MVC)- With 5 games remaining in Indiana State’s regular season, the Sycamore’s are looking to gain as much momentum as they can before the MVC Tournament. The Sycamore’s play 2011 HADHC participant Southern Illinois Saturday, 2/11/12.

Miami (FL): 15-7 (6-3 ACC)- Riding a 5-game ACC win streak, including an overtime win at #5 Duke, the Hurricanes have hit their stride and are playing some of the best basketball in the country. Their schedule doesn’t get any easier though, as Miami heads to Tallahassee to play #17 Florida State Saturday, 2/11.

Ole Miss: 14-9 (4-5 SEC)- After two close losses to Alabama and Mississippi State, the Rebels look to get back on track against 2011 HADHC participant Auburn, Saturday, 2/11/12.

#14 SDSU: 20-3 (6-1 MWC)- #14 SDSU prepares for their biggest game of the season at #16 UNLV. The Aztecs won the twos previous match-up 69-67 in San Diego. The winner of this game will most likely decide the Mountain West Conference regular season champion.

San Francisco: 16-10 (6-6 WCC) Winning 4 of their last 5 games, the Don’s are appearing as “Cinderella Contenders” (for the WCC tourney) in the strong West Coast Conference. #13 Saint Mary’s leads the conference with a 22-3 record.

Texas Tech: 7-16 (0-11 Big-12)- Seeking their first conference win of the season, the Red Raiders host Oklahoma Saturday, 2/11/12.

2012 HADHC Field Progress (as of 2/3)

Airzona: 14-8 (5-4 Pac-12)- After a healthy 85-61 win over Washington State, the Wildcats stalled in a 69-67 loss to U-Dub at home. More recently, Sean Miller and his Wildcats squad received their biggest win of the season with a 78-74 tripping of conference leader Cal in Berkley. Arizona will finish their road trip at Stanford Saturday, Feb. 4.

Hawaii: 12-9 (4-3 WAC)- Hawaii received its second conference road win of the season with a 67-60 dubbing at Idaho. The Warriors will hit the hardwood again Saturday, Feb. 4 where they’ll face San Jose State. Hawaii beat the Spartans earlier this season at UH’s Stan Sheriff Center 82-69.

Indiana State: 13-9 (4-7 MVC)- The Sycamores are on a high after a thrilling double overtime victory over Evansville Sunday, Jan. 29. And after another win Wed. over conference opponent Drake, the men in blue will take their mini three-game win streak home to face a tough Wichita State team.

Miami (FL): 13-7 (3-3 ACC)- With consecutive ACC wins over Georgia Tech, Boston College and Maryland, the red hot Hurricanes look to continue their strong conference play Saturday at Cameron Indoor Stadium against #5 Duke.

Ole Miss: 14-7 (4-3 SEC)- The Rebels were able to grind out a  tough 66-62 win against a game South Carolina team Saturday, Jan. 29. With crucial conference road games at Alabama and #19 Mississippi State lingering this week, the Rebels must stay poised.

#17 SDSU: 18-3 (4-1 MWC)- The nationally ranked Aztecs avoided another setback after Colorado State’s stunning upset with a clutch 58-56 win over Boise State. #17 SDSU will host TCU Saturday, Feb. 4.

San Francisco: 15-9 (5-5 WCC)- Riding a three-game win streak, the resurgent Dons look to continue their inspired play this week with a conference game at LMU.

Texas Tech: 7-14 (0-9 Big-12)- Seeking their first conference win of the season, the Red Raiders travel to Austin to play in-state rival Texas Saturday, Feb. 4.

Airzona: 13-7 (4-3 Pac-12)- The Wildcats will host Washington and Washington State this week as Arizona tries to separate themselves as competitors for the Pac-12 title.

  • Assists: Solomon Hill- 2.9 APG

Hawaii: 11-8 (3-2 WAC)- The Rainbow Warriors are coming off a big win against NMSU (previously unbeaten in conference play), and will try to carry the momentum through their road trip against Utah State and Idaho.

  • Assists: Jeremiah Ostrowski 6.3 APG

Indiana State: 12-9 (3-7 MVC)- After a 59-54 conference win over Northern Iowa, the Sycamores look to continue climbing up the stiff Missouri Valley Conference standings as they face Evansville, Sunday 1/29/12.
