Books

The books are what started it all. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was finished by JK Rowling in 1995 and published in 1998 by Bloomsbury in the UK and Raincoast in Canada (as of 2010 Penguin is the Canadian publisher). Over the next nine years millions of fans joined Pottermania both online and out in the Muggle World. While movies, websites, spinoffs and every type of toy and collector’s item you can imagine has emerged on the Potter scene since PS exploded on to the scene, the books still hold the original and most important magic for Harry Potter fans. This section of the site is devoted to the books that have brought fans together, inspired millions and brought some magic to the lives of so many kids and adults alike. Use the links in the top menu to browse around. Enjoy!
