Rutronik awarded European Distributor of the Year

The award has been given to Rutronik for unprecedented business growth during the last 12 months. 2010 was the first full year that Rutronik have held the Omron franchise in all European regions. During this time Rutronik sales of Omron switches, connectors, sensors and relays have grown faster than any other distributor in Omron’s European sales channel.

Alex Grout, Omron European distribution manager, commented, “During the last 12 months the relationship between Omron and Rutronik has blossomed across all levels of the business. The presentation of this award is fully merited and we look forward to continued business growth and new business development throughout 2011 and into 2012.” He continued, “Rutronik have been very successful in identifying new business opportunities in growing markets across Europe. We are particularly happy with Rutronik’s achievement to promote a broad line up of Omron components, including switches, connectors, sensors and relays.”

Volker Buchmann, Rutronik, marketing director electromechanical components, added, “Rutronik’s focus on demand creation coupled with our strong team of business development managers has ensured that Omron has become our largest European emech component supplier for 2011. We have had to overcome a challenging European market place during the last 12 to 18 months and Omron have been fully supportive of our plans and strategies to develop and grow our European wide business.”
