At the recent EFI 2011 event in Rome, Dr. Erwin Grosspiescth, Chairman of Board of Euromicro, endorsed the efforts of bringing people together at EFI 2011, and he also voiced his support for EAI’s efforts to act as an umbrella for European professional societies. “We found by a small study supported by the European Union that there is a big fragmentation (problem) among the organizations and scientific societies in this field. We have several hundred societies and many of them are very small and the European Union would wish (them) to have a stronger impact by stronger coordination….. An organization like EAI could help by supplying the infrastructure support (for coordination),” Said Dr. Grosspiescth during an interview at the event.
