President of the EAI, Prof. Imrich Chlamtac, meets EU Commissioner Neelie Kroes
On Monday 7th November, the President of the European Alliance for Innovation prof. Imrich Chlamtac met with Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Digital Agenda Neelie Kroes, and Commissioner for Health and Consumer Policy John Dalli.
Commissioner Kroes was presented with EAI achievements to date, including recent policy initiatives carried out through the cooperation of the SMEs, corporations, research institutions and societies which form the EAI Strategic Forum. So impressed with what EAI presented as a “fully functioning tool for implementing the Digital Agenda”, Commissioner Kroes was particularly enthusiastic about EAI’s online facilities which provide innovators with a one stop shop for matchmaking and dissemination.
Having expressed great interest in the work of EAI, above all in the area of e-Health and Broadband Internet, Commissioner Kroes has requested another meeting later this month to discuss further opportunities for cooperation.
