September 29th, 2009

spacer   Just back from a few weeks in Australia. Had a wonderful time. We did Sydney, Cairns, Alice Springs, and Ayers Rock. What a beautiful country. But, of course, no more beautiful than the USA. And no more beautiful than some other countries I’ve been to. Read the rest of this entry »

Senator Instructs General

June 26th, 2009

spacer  Normally, I try to stay out of these snitty little semi-political discussions/squabbles, but this one touched a nerve. An AROIGNO (Arrogant Ignoramus) in a position of authority is a hard thing to bear in silence. (www.breitbart.tv/html/362923.html) Read the rest of this entry »

Incredibly Good Fortune

May 14th, 2009

spacer Well folks, I’m sure you all will be very happy to learn that I will soon come into a huge pile of money. The coincidence of the whole thing is just absolutely remarkable. December 23rd, 2008

spacer

Even if you are not religious at all, you should feel a bit uncomfortable calling December 25th (or indeed this entire season) anything but Christmas. Correcting Society One Dude at a Time

August 9th, 2008

spacer

(From This Is Your Captain Speaking)

Okay, I’ll admit it’s a pet peeve of mine and perhaps I behaved badly because I was spring loaded to the “I’m ticked” position. But it was due to the fact that it happens so often, and if someone doesn’t do something about it, it’ll only get worse. Remember, it’s not vengeance (or not just vengeance anyway) if it is done for the purpose of correcting the situation. Read the rest of this entry »
