Thank you for such a delicious week. Its been the coldest weeks skiing that we have ever experienced but we have had plenty of snow to play in. Oz has looked beautiful consistently and has been a great refuge from the biting wind over in Auris. The children have had an amazing time with their friends and ski school. ESF were excellent. Will hopefully be back soon. Regards

Chris and Peter(excellent hosts). Thank you for an amazing week. Food has been delicious and the atmosphere very relaxing. Chilling in the Sauna has definitely been a highlight. The chalet is set in a lovely location and the skiing has been fantastic. Vin Chaud and sledging has been brilliant. Will definitely recommend to our friends and family. Thank you again.

Third time here for Isobel, David, Jim and Tracey. Had the most glorious week- a hugh dump of snow just before we arrived and sunshine every day.

Super Happy New Year at Chalet le Sabot.
Our highlights: Powder, Sledging,The views, Alpe d'huez, Fantastic food*****, Great hosts, Oz en Oisans Village, learning to ski, vin chaud, skiing, beautiful mountain, Crepes and Galettes, tea time, Sauna. Our lowlights: Coming back to the chalet soaked but happy after skiing in the rain, Mountain closed on the last day due to storms and wind, having to leave at 3am for our flight home.
Thanks Peter and Chris for being great hosts. We so enjoyed your hospitality but also your ease in letting us have our own space. All the best.

Despite being a last minute plan due to a lack of snow in Italy we could not have been happier. Easy access to slopes, shops and not too stressful a drive here. Amazing food and nothing was too much trouble. The oldest two boys, six and three mastered skiing thanks to excellent lessons from ESF and were most happy to be faster than Mum on the last day. Lack of snow was not an issue it never stopped. Many thanks for a fabulous holiday.

I blame Martyn and Shirley for bringing us here to Chalet Sabot! They were here at Christmas 2010 and thought that another trip with some old skiing friends would be great. They were correct in their thinking. Its the best Catered Chalet weve stayed in this side of the Atlantic. It was nicely appointed and thoughtfully fitted out for skiers needs. The food cooked by Chris has been great and healthy to! She was well served by her sou chef Peter who offered us much advice, i.e Weather,skiing and Bus timetables.

Well Chriss Porridge was the pinnacle of taste: Porridge, honey and Baileys Irish Cream for the warm glow in the morning. Great fun and thanks.

If we ever make it to heaven we will be short changed by 2 weeks simply because we have already spent them at Le Sabot! 2 years ago and now again we have lived through a week of total relaxation consisting of fantastic food and drinks, sauna, baths and relaxing sessions at the fireplace. Once again we had a great time at the Chalet. Our hosts were excellent- welcoming, very committed and hard- working. Many thanks to them for a great holiday- great cooking, great company- couldn't have been more helpful. We were very lucky with the weather also, snow in the first two days, then glorious sunshine for the rest of the week. It was like Easter skiing- wonderful. We enjoyed Oz again and the comforts of Chalet Le Sabot.

This is our 2nd time here. Loved last year but loved this one even more!! We really couldn't fault a single detail of the service we received from our hosts. We loved their food and company in equal measure. We were extremely lucky to have both snow and sun this week but I'm sure we would have had a wonderful time whatever the weather. We didnt manage to match the 50 litre record set by the Leeds lawyers but I think we set a sunshine record with 6 gloriously sunny days out of 7. The chalet is really nice, facilities and location good, but what really made the holiday was the hospitality and willingness to help of our hosts and the food has been fantastic - by far the best experienced in a catered chalet. Thanks very much.

This is very much a superior chalet with really excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them from taking us around the village to organising ski hire and ski school to booking us a restaurant and a return taxi. The chalet food was full cordon bleu quality and the atmosphere was always very friendly. Overall Chalet Le Sabot was an excellent experience. Many thanks.

We had a really good time. (Reference the chalet food) from the Thai to the monkfish with Pernod no effort has been spared. We enjoyed the sauna in this really comfortable chalet. The skiing has been great finishing with a day of powder through the trees- bliss.

This was our first time in Oz. The hosts have been fab they took very good care of us and took a really personal interest in us and have been consistently good humoured. Their orientation when we first arrived was really helpful. We very much loved Oz, an attractive village with excellent access to the slopes. There was good skiing at all levels. Well be back!

We all had an amazing week. With regards to skiing we had great fun on the amazing Vaujany and Alpe d Huez resort even with the many falls! The food was the highlight of the chalet although we gained a few pounds. Thanks hugely to the hosts who were great fun all week.

The chalet exceeded expectations. It was comfortable and perfectly set out for 2 families and the description on the website was extremely accurate. It boasts one of the best views in the region. The bonne surprise were the hosts who were both extremely accommodating, yet discrete at the same time. The food was some of the best we have tasted for a while and the portions were generous.

This was my first skiing holiday, and now I'm a convert. Chalet Le Sabot was perfect for a first-timer like me - always warm and cozy, really helpful hosts who went out of their way to help me sort out lessons and equipment hire, - and so close to the slopes I could practically crawl back with my various bumps and bruises! I would recommend it wholeheartedly as a relaxing base to enjoy great views, great facilities and great mulled wine!

Facilities - Very good indeed. Excellent boot room, the rest of the house was neat, clean and comfortable. A great fire every evening. Enough toilets , showers, and living space not to feel cramped.
Food and hospitality - Excellent. Superb hosts, polite, helpful and discrete. Every meal was cooked and presented perfectly.
Ski suitability' - Excellent. Literally a 2min walk to the lift .
Local amenities - Excellent.

Excellent hosts, the standard of the food was fantastic and they really could not do enough for us. I think the quality of the food and chalet really differentiates it from an outfit such as Ski Miquel for example.

Nous sommes absolument enchantés de notre séjour de ski à Oz-en-Oisans. Nous avons tout dabord découvert une charmante petite station, tranquille, préservée et à taille humaine et pourtant accessible à un immense domaine skiable. Nous avons également profité du chalet Le sabot avec nos 3 jeunes enfants, bénéficiant de chambres spacieuses et élégantes avec vue sur les sommets environnants. Tout cela assorti dun confort sobre mais luxueux dans une ambiance détendue, sous lil attentif de Colin et Samantha qui veillent avec discrétion et gentillesse au bien-être de leurs hôtes.
Les repas étaient un réel moment de convivialité et de plaisir gustatif, avec une vraie cuisine faite maison composée de produits frais et de qualité. On est vraiment contents de nos vacances mais surtout ne le répétez à personne parce quon aimerais bien revenir !

This is definitely the best accommodation Ive stayed in, just a stones throw from the lift with stunning views across the valley. The chalet is beautifully finished and has everything you could wish for and was always warm and welcoming after a long days skiing with home made tea and cakes and a friendly smile. The staff (Sam and Colin) made us feel very welcome with nothing being too much trouble and probably the most outstanding thing of all was the wonderful food they served us Superb!
